I'll answer the questions I can. I don't actually know the answer to your quest hint, so someone else should pick that up. It's a mystery, nobody knows. At some point you'll run out of things to unlock though, so beyond that earning levels is more of a personal achievement. Currently, you'll have to go with just the visual information. Several people have requested a statistics page and we've added these to our games before... it could happen. Request noted. Sounds useful, I'd like that myself. Theoretically endless nights, getting harder and faster, but you earn more. This was useful in the original Minigore, although I also liked how some games handle it and don't do anything until you touch the joystick. Request noted. Agreed, this is an annoyance that needs to be fixed.
I have to say that I am really impressed with the ipad retina graphics, especially for the size. It is not that big, but the graphics are great!!! Fun game too! Love the variety of characters like the girl and ninja. Too cool!
I'm level 38 with everything unlocked. I've just had the crash bug and now it won't open. I know the fix has been submitted with Apple - when this comes out will I be able to load my game to where it is? Or have I now lost EVERYTHING forever? Thanks
Here's what would be awesome in the future 1. A water map featuring this guy as a boss http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6nCWPAy3lIU/ThRRTc3wyyI/AAAAAAAAAhA/tLTR9R0f69E/s1600/Old+man+Tackle.jpg 2. A minigore classic map with Wormwolf and http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cD4fsHXqzmg/ThQOL4B9knI/AAAAAAAAAfA/qkpCeI9nKrw/s1600/King+Furry.jpg 3. This guy http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-a4BWToc5dX0/ThRSpvnn_YI/AAAAAAAAAhE/CKIj3jvm8Cg/s1600/Master+of+Puppets.jpg 4. A desert map with Zombie Cacti that chase you and shoot their needles at you. 5. Endless mode? Thanks for reading this.
endless mode would be nice after beating the final level..... this could use more weapons and perks in general 1. could be a perk to hold 2 weapons at once 2. no exploding boxes perk
Great game! Most certainly worth 2 bucks no matter it's "just updated Minigore". On pre-release screenshots, it bothered me that there are enemies that are just enlarged assets of the same kind of enemy but it's not that bad when you are actually playing the game (although I still have mixed feelings when I see two exactly the same 3D models but in different sizes). And of course, I LOVE THE BUNNIES! Large bunny exploding into smaller ones always makes me smile. And now, complaints. 1. Some of the crosses on graveyard level don't have collision boxes, you can pass through them. 2. No matter I turned music off in settings, it's still playing. 3. On one rare occasion, I was under merchant's wagon and it dropped onto me rendering me immobile (but approaching enemies saved the day by making it lift and setting me free). 4. On lake level, why the heck are borders of the map plain green? Not even a gradient, just large plain green textureless bubble (bottom of the map is most annoying)... It really ruins the beauty of the level, put some textures there. 5. Game runs pretty smooth on iPhone 4 but sometimes it starts lagging terribly for a few seconds. Even weirder, number of enemies/actions taking place has nothing to do with it, it lags when there's not much enemies on the screen. There's usually that fat pig that explodes into smaller pigs when lag occurs, but I'm not sure. Most of the time it occurs on pentagram level (aka last level). 6. Another thing that bothers me is texture of the fast zombies (big headed purple ones). Normal zombies are really nice with all those color variations but fast ones are boring aka all look the same (although I checked the game files and there's 5 different textures of them)... Don't get me wrong, complaints are here to point out flaws, not that the game itself is bad.
Note Am i the only one who doesnt like the shiny textures on the characters ? i think it should look more like plastisin imo @Jouni
Loved the first Minigore so bought this instantly. The initial expiernce is so easy it does throw you off and the game doesn't feel quite the same. But luckily that goes away pretty fast as you unlock more and get a feel for how things are laid out this time. Having lots of fun now and auto aim feels required to survive. Only thing it needs is iCloud support. This is a must have not a wishlist for me with iOS games. Hopefully you'll add it in a update.
Is there any difference between the different nights on each level? Does it get increasingly difficult? I noticed that when you die the nights reset. What's the point? As far as I can tell, the enemy patterns appear to be the same all the time. Which is strange because I could swear I read on the game description that the enemy patterns are random. If the enemy patterns ARE the same, and there aren't any score multipliers, then technically you would end up with the same amount of souls at the end of the level, no? If that's the case there would be no point to a leaderboard. I may be wrong someone feel free to correct me. Anyway I have an idea for a leaderboard. How about if every level had its own leaderboard, but instead of keeping track of souls, it kept track of how many nights you survived? This would be great because since the game doesn't sell packs of coins of iap, it won't feel like people are paying to win by racking up consumables! You could employ a strategy by spending coins wisely on consumables and upgrades to stay alive and make it through each night. This would be especially cool if the nights really do rack up in difficulty or have different enemy patterns. Plus even though it would take a while to last 30-40 nights or whatever, the game would still have that pick up and play in short bursts quality. I say this because the game lets you resume where you left off on each level, so you can sit there and play for hours straight, or play a night or two on the bus, 2 or 3 on the crapper, etc, and still keep the streak going! What do you guys think?
As soon as the updated version is out, your progress should be just as before. It was a bug in reading the save file that was created under an unlucky set of stars, rather than in writing it. Sorry.
Any decent art polarizes opinions, so I would be surprised if *everyone* liked it. This is Timo's vision and if he wants shiny zombie textures, shiny zombie textures is what he gets.
If you spend multiple nights on the crapper, I think you should reconsider your diet. Seriously though, I do think the leaderboards would be per-level regardless of what exactly they measure. Each night is progressively more difficult by a bit, but the first ones ramp up so slowly that it takes a long time for them to get really tough. People keep asking for endless mode... but each of the stages essentially is endless by the nights repeating harder and faster. Anyway, there's the new mode in the update that could also make things escalate rather quickly.
Hey Jouni, are you going to add more weapons? I just hit the damn crash bug and I had every weapon unlocked, but even while there are many different weapons I think that there isn't enough variety. Flamethrowers, rocket launchers, laser guns, spiked baseball bats, mines, flails, etc
I'll try to stay away from comments that would be read as promises for unannounced future features since we all know where that leads, but that would seem an obvious direction for extending the gameplay. Sorry to hear the bug got you, too.
