Unfortunately not. What you should win a prize for is how well you've represented yourself and Mountain Sheep in this thread so far. Much respect to you, Sir.
Hello. For cinematic lights you start from completely darkness. Then you first add one key light. This is most important and dominant light effect. Second you add as many fill lights to soften the key light and make more parts of scene visible. And last you add rim light to help separate objects from the background. This add slightly bright outlines for objects. I did all the lighting shaders for Minigore 2 and after careful profiling and benchmarking we did have to drop some of the light components from the older devices. This is because smooth gameplay experience is always top priority for us. Long story short iPad4, iPad mini and iPhone 5 have full cinematic lighting. iPad2/3, iPhone4s and iPod5 have key and fill lights per pixel but they miss the rim part but this should not be that big image quality loss. More info about these light terms can be found here. http://www.3drender.com/light/3point.html Kalle Hämäläinen, Mountain Sheep.
This has many times the content of the first one, with different areas, enemy types and upgradeable weapons. It's all very *similar* content so don't expect a first person shooting sequence or a puzzle game to pop up in the middle of your session. You won't run out of weapons to upgrade, characters and levels to unlock for dozens of hours, if you like the core gameplay it offers. A freemium game tries to be fun enough to get your trust, but then limit your fun enough to get your money. Minigore 2 is not a freemium game, so it tries to stack up enough open-ended fun to make it worth the few bucks for anyone who dares to go for it. So far, AppStore reviews suggest we got it mostly right.
If you try buy it, you actually get it but it doesn't tell you so. See if you're seeing even numbers of soul "coins" collected and not odd ones during gameplay, on your next bathroom break.
loving the game! coming from someone who didnt spend a ton of time with the first one. question, does it ramp up a bit quicker in further "locked" levels? I can roll on the first one and I usually just kill myself because I have class, or need to catch the bus or something.. thanks! great release dev!
Yep. I have a fully upgraded John Gore and machine gun, plus a variety of other weapon upgrade, and I cannot get to the boss of level 3 yet without dying. (Part of that is because I'm not the best player.) Level 1 does get a lot harder in subsequent nights, but it definitely eases you into the game.
Man I played some more today and its an awesome game! One question though do we get anything for doing the quests like kill this or that guy? Do we get xp or coins because I didnt notice anything.
What's the use of the shop being accessible IN game (as in when fighting the enemies)? Can't we just pause the game and open the shop that way?
So like Kalle was saying, when surrounded by a horde of bloodthirsty zombies most people can't tell the difference between the cinematic lighting on an iPad 3 and iPad 4, but the latest devices do have that extra shine on the edge of the zombie heads.
You found the super-secret shortcut! Seriously, though, if we don't have a way of getting to the shop from the level most people would never realize to go there. I always go through the pause menu, even if it means I have to lift my fingers from the joypads and risk getting mauled by zombies.
You're getting both xp and coins (they're linked) every time you complete a challenge. The communication could be clarified a bit but there's definitely a bonus - the later challenges give much bigger rewards than the early ones.
I know, but with so many apps around that costs the same or less I gotta ask the TA members for some insight
Though I can't compare it to the iPad 4, on the iPad mini it looks great! The game also feels perfect as far as thumb placement on the mini.
I'm playing on ipad4 and it looks great too, The only thing I can think that needs to be added/fixed is an option to move and scale the virtual sticks, there fine on my iPod but on the iPad there so big it's almost uncomfortable.
