Jeritux: I agree and was goin to post gratitude for the Devs involvement as always from the early days of TA. As for crossovers...I personally am requesting Gameloft to put doodlejump into Modern Combat 4 JUST FOR YOU BUDDY!
"Awesome" ugly thread... Just here to say that this game runs buttersmooth on my iphone4. (I always do "the procedure" before starting up a highly anticipaded game, and mostly it works fine with me) Congrats dear Devs ! You delivered and i love it !
! Really fun game so far, there is alot of upgrade options like weapons and characters and environments too. Iphone5 here and no problems at all!
No game is 100% finished upon release, much like any writer cannot revise their work to 100% perfection. If a writer tries to make their work "perfect" at the first draft or any other revision (or even collectively over a bunch of revisions), they will STILL never reach that perfection mark. It's like taking the limit of a mathematical function as it goes to infinity: it's just an approximation to find what it COULD be, BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT TO TRULY APPROACH INFINITY IN REAL LIFE. Because infinity does not exist in a physical sense, as far as science can tell. In other words, the devs had a "perfect" idea of what Minigore 1 COULD have been. But over time and several updates, it became apparent that the "perfect" version of Minigore 1 would take up too many resources to achieve with Minigore 1 itself. So the devs took what they learned from Minigore 1 and made Minigore 2, which is closer to that "perfect" vision of Minigore that they had when they started out. But it still did not match that initial vision of "perfection". And it shouldn't have to. As an artist in any medium knows, there comes a point where you just have to let a piece go; no more holding on and fussing over the details. And that's exactly what the devs did here with Minigore 2: they told themselves "Alright, it's good enough, let's just get the thing out there!" It's a hard thing to figure out, when something is ready for release or not, but a judgment call has to be made somewhere. Unfortunately, the call was made with the game-breaking crash bug that people have been experiencing still in the game. The devs have already said that a fix is in the works, so they are on top of the issue. Yes, it's frustrating for players in the interim between launch and the update, but it will hopefully not remain frustrating. As to why people get defensive: when a person likes something, they get attached to it. They develop an association between themselves and the thing they enjoy. Thus, when someone challenges the thing they like and claim that the thing they like is a horrible POS that is not enjoyable in any permutation or point over view whatsoever, the people attached to the challenged thing feel the affect of that challenge through that associative bond they developed. And it hurts their emotions, and makes them feel like they are stupid, ignorant idiots for enjoying something that someone else hates so strongly, because that hate transfers through that bond between them and the thing they enjoy. It's a hard place to be, and is hard to effectively manage in a way that does not escalate the hatred already poured out into the emotional system. When and/or if the person fails to find a way to mitigate the effects of feeling that hate, they have two options: fight or flight. And I think you can imagine what kinds of behavior manifest as a result. Where things get increasingly messy is when the "hater" feels like they are ostracized for having a dissenting opinion, which means that they too resort to the fight-or-flight response. I think you also know what kinds of behavior results from that, and it may take too long in an already long wall-o-text to elaborate ^_^ I hope that this contributes to the discussion in a non-escalating manner; I haven't played the game yet myself, I was just reading through the thread to see impressions people had about the game and realized I had something to contribute with regards to the topics you brought up in relation to the game. I go into some insane detail in this here Tumblr post about a similar subject, in case you may be interested: http://morphelous.tumblr.com/post/31446811901/how-to-approach-other-beliefs Hope that helps too ^_^ And I hope you don't get too upset; I was responding to the topics you brought up, and I am not criticizing you for having the opinion that you have. It's not my place to judge anyone's character except my own, and I am sticking with that mindset here. I sincerely hope that this is made clear in the post, because I desire the content of this post to, hopefully, help. Sincerely, Mr. Album
The problem with Apple's system is that we can't flag an app unavailable for specific devices where it doesn't run well. A lot of people are saying they can run it just fine, but we don't want to give any other kind of guarantee than, well, your money back through iTunes if it doesn't work for you. Booting your IPT before playing should help it run better.
Sacrilegious heathen! How dare you... oh, wait. Yes, I suppose we are. Minigore, back in the day was serious business at $1. This is $2 now, things are twice as serious.
Any volunteers for coding 150+ simultaneous on-screen enemies sync on multiple devices? Can I see some hands...? Unfortunately not at this point. We'd love it, but it's not really feasible for this. Of all the places, Minigore 2 is probably played a lot at the bathroom, and probably alone.
