I'm not sure, but some of the later challenges might be tied to a specific character, so unlock others only when needed.
How do I know my coin doubler is working after buying it? There's no confirmation nor is the 1.99 grated out upon purchase...
We don't have a final consensus on leaderboards for Minigore 2 to offer right now. The characters and their upgrades affect the score so much that having a fair and balanced leaderboard is quite tricky - and having separate leaderboards for each character would dilute their meaning. Having the best character with the best upgrades will obviously result in better scores, but some people would then feel we've made the game pay-to-win. Hopefully this clarifies some of the thinking that goes on behind the scenes, even if it doesn't offer a concrete answer or a promise as such.
Make sure the numbers you see for souls gathered in game are all even numbers. 2,4,6,8,10 instead of 1,2,3,4,5 - then you'll know it's working.
I agree with Metal, and I was all thru said thread back in the day, and I left TA for quite a while bc of IDIOTS like YOU. Great game! I was a huge critic but I'm extremely impressed, I'll give a pass to HardGore and anticipate coll updates. As I said earlier this thread, idc about GameCenter stuffs at all, I'm old school Atari 2600, I don't care about unlockables and leader boards, but I do care NOT to see a bazillion game crossover tie ins with doodle jump snot blasters or Pocket God zombies in this game, plz don't water the content down. I'd like more clarity of weapon upgrade damage & I'd like abilities to not be consumables, or at least cheaper. And the alligator boss graphics clip John. But yeah, I'm back on board as a huge fan! You guys came through! No problems on iPhone 4S at all. Now, TA can ban me for callin him an idiot, I was happy just creeping TA and not participating for 2 yrs. but this dude is what was wrong with TA, dissin a good member with a solid argument.
We're submitting asap, and hope that Apple can get it to the store quickly. Sorry to hear about your troubles, and glad you like the game.
Game Impressions Whats the most important aspect of a game? BEING ABLE TO FRICKIN' PLAY IT OF COURSE! So far I haven't been able to because it crashes constantly and after a while it starts crashing at the title screen, I reinstalled it but same thing happened again after a while and now I'm giving up. "They'll fix that in the next update" is not an excuse, games should be complete at launch otherwise you're paying for what is essentially a beta. I HATE paying for betas. btw: I find all these fanboys pretty hilarious. Why do people always get so defensive? If you enjoy the game, nothing can change that. Unless maybe you start realizing that its not as good as you thought it was and then have to make up weak excuses...
We're submitting the fix for the crash to Apple today, the QA company we use didn't run into the issue at all for some reason. If you send me your contact info, I'll refund you your two dollars, or you can get the refund directly from Apple. I don't think people should have to pay for betas either, but sometimes issues like this can still slip past.
And I'll place you under the category of the Android trolls who every single game release comments "is it out for Android??" Fanboy is an easy word for adolescents to throw around with their cute little temper tantrums tryin to discredit a Dev. My complaints were solid in the day. A fix is comin today, it's pretty damn clear. I question if you get paid for anti-schill.
Major props to the devs for good communication on the forums. Leaderboards would definitely be cool, and I think most of us would be okay with a unified leaderboard that includes new players and players with full upgrades. Since the price of upgrades isn't outlandish (I don't feel the need to spend any extra money), I would expect most people to understand that the more you play/earn, the higher your scores will be. Ideally, there would be separate leaderboards for each level and character, but that gets to a super high number required. I think your best route would be two leaderboards for each level. One for auto aim and one for manual shooting. As far as achievements, I agree with what some others have said before. Instead of using 100 of the 300 missions, create another 100 tasks that are more challenging (though balanced, so they can be unlocked throughout the game). For example, one achievement for each fully upgraded weapon and character. Unlocking all the different things in the game, using one of the consumables, etc. One for beating each boss for the first time, and then one for beating each boss on a certain night (something tough like night 10). Earning a certain amount of money in a specific level. Reaching a certain player level (5, 10, 25, 50, 100). Keep up the good work. While the upgrades would be cool, I am totally happy with the game as is (I haven't had any crash issues, but I do think that should be fixed, which it has been in the newly submitted version). PS - I would totally play as the Doodler from Doodle Jump. I think crossover characters are always fun treats in games.
