Hey Kalle, Is it possible to add more (like wayyyyy more) GC achievements and a leaderboard in the next update please??
That'd be the one unfortunate issue discussed earlier, we're submitting a fix to Apple today. Basically if the game crashes at a very unlucky moment, it crashes on loading the save file from then on. Sorry. :/ The only (unreasonable) workaround is to delete and reinstall, but that obviously kills the game progress unless you have a recent sync backup. When the update goes through it will pick up from even a crashing save state so nothing should be lost by waiting.
Seriously? The game practically revels in extreme violence, blood and guts everywhere, people dying plus demonic creatures galore, and you're offended by "Goddamn"? I'm loving the game too, btw.
From the developer perspective, I think it would be fair to add a parental control switch that reduces blood and omits the more offensive voices, although that's kind of going to McDonalds and asking for your hamburger without ketchup and cheese. Still, some people prefer that for themselves or for their kids, so...
Thanks for the response! Looks like I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and upgrade soon until then I still have good ol' minigore 1!
Hello. We have currently 300 challenges and game center has a limit of 100 achievements. That means we could only fit 1/3 of our challenges into Game Center and that didn't feel like a good idea. One option would be to choose 100 most meaningful challenges and put those as achievements. If you have any ideas let us know? Kalle Hämäläinen, Mountain Sheep.
Yeah, I'd say the way to go would be to pick the more challenging goals and set those up as achievements. Most games with multiple mini-challenges to accomplish (the Mission system in games like Punch Quest comes to mind) put the particularly note-worthy goals as achievements, or put particularly challenging variants of those goals on the achievements board. Going back to Punch Quest as an example, one of their missions is to score a 100-hit combo, and they have an achievement for a 200-hit one. Stuff like that. TL;DR, I agree with the '100 most meaningful challenges' style of approach. That, or make them harder (but still doable) versions of those same challenges.
Bought it. Now deliver. You pretty much ABANDONED the first one. Which was a giant disappointment. Update it with MAPS and ENEMIES (not playable characters) to expand the universe of Minigore. This has the potential to be the best dual stick shooter on iOS, IF you get your act together and make that happen. Because the first one was a mess. I loved it. Waited for expansions, and they never came.
When it says iPod touch 4 not supported, does that mean it'll still run, just not well? Or will it just crash when I open it?
To be fair, they delivered a lot of updates before stopping support (all the way to this past April). I assume the "abandonment" was to work on this excellent sequel. Yes, many of the updates required spending extra money, but devs have the right to choose or not choose 'Angry Birds style' content updates. I imagine its tough with 10 people and multiple great game ideas (have you played Bike Baron? That game is awesome). Anyhow, we should just take this game for what it is and not expect extra content. That makes updates feel way more like presents instead of entitlements.
Coin doubler will not work! It keeps saying it could not connect to iTunes Store. Plus where are the leaderboards? Please update soon?
