Like I said, it was fine until the comparision. Case closed. Helmania = bad writer. That is, until he learns how to really review games.
To be honest? I haven't even played MiniSquadron yet, but everyone who plays it seems to think its good. If it was a troll review, he would give it a horrible rating just to watch people get upset. He hasn't done this. There were a few parts, ones that the others already mentioned, that might be a little argumentive, but all and all, i don't see whats so horrible about it.
see, the thing is. You cant agree or disagree with a review before playing the game. It leads you to making an uninformed comment which results in flaming. Oh and wtf are you doing. NOT played minisquadron? Go buy it now.

Nah. Im just someone who, being on the receiving end of it myself, doesn't like to see anyone getting flamed who doesn't deserve it.
A wise man told me once, you can never please everyone. I write two reviews highlighting obvious flaws with two games. I'm labeled a troll/fanboy. I write one praising a good game, I'm still a troll/fanboy. Some of you like to throw the first stone when you are not perfect. If my OPINION did fall in line with you Hmar, you would applaud everything I said. Since it went against yours, I must be trolling. If anyone were to decipher all of your replies here and on my other reviews, YOU, may come across to be more of a troll than me. I only like to tell it like it is. I understand some people dont approve of that. Either way, a good game is a good game, a bad one is a bad one and your preference is irrelevant to the fact. Transformers 1 and 2 for xbox 360 were both terrible games based off the movies. However, they still sold and I'm sure there are many 10-year-olds who would probably argue with me that those games are the best games on the planet. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, even when the subject in question, is actually ugly.
There is one reason why your reviews are getting flamed. You are calling stuff that is your opinion a fact when it is not true. I'm sure you would get on fine if you could admit that your opinion is exactly that, yours.
i take this to be your admittance than youre opinions are not in any way a fact. and when you 'tell it like it is" you take one object of a game that may not be its strongest point and blow it up to such huge proportions. A form of yellow journalism really.
Okay firstly, you have completely missed the point here by a mile. We are not disputing the fact that MS is a good game. I think the unanimous opinion of everyone here is that it's an awesome game. That is not what we are disputing. What we are disputing is 1. You often think that your opinion = fact 2. You slagged off completely irrelevant games and developers in this review Your opinion, or our opinion is redundant in what we are trying to tell you. The fact is that you should not be bringing completely different and random games into your reviews. And then when you explained the reason why: Here is plain hypocrisy. In your earlier reply you said that everyone else was a troll for branding you a troll (which no one actually did, if I recall). And then you go and say that you wrote what you did with the sole intention of baiting/upsetting/provoking a single member. Now THAT is what trolls do. I really hope that you listen to what others tell you, I'm trying to be tolerant and the others are (or were) too, and it would be a shame if you didn't take into account what everyone else has told you.
Hellmania that is be far the Worst review of a great game I ever read! If I don't have the game yet and read this dumb review chances are I won't be getting this because of the review! You sound so conceited that a reader will be instantly turn off by the game you are supposedly trying to pimp! Please have heart for the devs you want to support and stop reviewing their game!
Hellmania or not - the game is free on the appvent calendar today! Those that procrastinated getting it (like me) are in luck! Watch out because more actual players of this game are going to generate more comments! Not having this game until today I stayed off this thread, but now that I played a little I am going to ask - what the HECK does Nova and Need for Speed have to do with this game????? Is it just because they are the big releases of the week? Generally when you review a game you compare it to LIKE games. Let me give you a simple example hellmania since it appears by this thread you are not getting the point. If you were to review Snow Fighters you COULD compare it to Snow Rumble, Snow Fight, Snowball Craft or any of those practically identical games. A little tougher example - Treasures of Montezuma can go with Bejeweled or Puzzlings. See? You don't compare Call of Duty with Hello Kitty.
