When I forced quit and reloaded, it had auto saved a few moments before. Since then, I go to the main menu prior to quitting the game.
Very well said! Wish more people talked openly about these issues... I see so many amazing apps/games that do everything right, yet they release and quickly fade into the AppStore Abyss. I'm for the you get what you pay for model ....you want more, more, more well you can pay More! I can image how well that would go over...blah!
This game is pretty fun, but really brutally unforgiving. In fact, I think it could use some easing up on the difficulty at the beginning - namely just adding more resources like food, water, etc. Otherwise, it's really a crap shoot whether you'll survive past the first few minutes. I think that change would help draw more people in and retain them. Far too many games out there to make one in which your success so early on is entirely dependent upon the roll of the dice with odds stacked against you.
I don't know the whole story or how accurate my version is, but Bohemia Interactive bought minidayz from some random coder/game developer, who was a fan of DayZ. Bohemia offered mindayz as a free web-based game, and after that, they decided to bring it to IOS. I don't know if making a profit with this game was ever their intention, don't quote me on that. But the good news is they have made periodic updates which has made the game better over time. It'd be great if they continued the updates because this game does have potential.
I like it so far, though there are a few technical issues. The worst is an occasional stutter in fps/freece for second. Once in a while. -im on 6+ But apart from that its pretty good. Easier to grasp than the real thing. But still introduces you to the concepts of the game.
On upper left of the screen, you have a button to watch ad for rewarding a item. But I think this is not enough for a company to make enough profit. I suggest have a banner ad in loading screen. We should share this game to FB or Twitter to let the developer has some profit. The same game system and control can apply to different gameplay style game with small modification.
Isn't the emergant player interaction the main appeal of Day Z? Single player seems less interesting.
Wanted to like this so much because I loved the graphics and the potential of it but it just feels empty, being single player and all that.. Looks like Day R is still the best post apocalyptic survival game for mobile (never tried CataclysmDDA. Too daunting)
I would have thought so too, but literally every review I see of dayz is about people complaining about being griefed in MP. Perhaps there should be a "peaceful" mode heh.
That's cool I that the original dev made something out of his idea. BI probably will probably see a net loss, but it's the stories like this that make me happy for those that devote their times to the app community.
this is honestly really good! even the sound effects are the same as day z which i love. my only gripe is your character dies way too fast when you dont drink or eat. and there is no revival youre just dead. even in day z you can go forever without food! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change that but besides that its good.
