Find out in Mini DAYZ now - an official pixel art rendition of the massively successful PC survival game - played by over 3 million fans. It is you against the world in Mini DAYZ: explore a randomly generated map and scavenge for food, ammo and supplies. Use anything you find to craft advanced items. All I have seen so far for the dev to get some money is a bar ad down the bottom of the screen in the main menu? No iap's to be seen at all. And the game looks like it has quite a bit of depth to it. AeroSmash Well-Known Member May 11, 2015 76 0 0 #12 AeroSmash, Jul 6, 2017 Game is a bit annoying because even on Normal you die quickly. Can't find water or a bag so it's really hard. In the game, on the top left next to where you click to enter the upgrade menu, there's a button to get a box of supplies by watching an ad. I watched one and got the box, but on the second ad it didn't connect well to the server and I couldn't quit the ad menu nor did the video play, so I had to force close the game. Aside from that, it worked well on my SE. rezn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Mar 8, 2014 862 6 18 Male Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #16 rezn, Jul 7, 2017 I love what Im seeing so far. The save system could work better, but at least it can "save". The time limit on bleeding makes a huge difference. All it needs now are bigger pixels, and I might actually play it more, but that's a long shot. I don't think they'll ever make it easy on the eyes. However the fact that it's completely free, I don't know how much incentive the developer will have to bring more content. I know as much as people think that 2.99 for a mediocre game with only 20 hours of gameplay is too much for a IOS app, but speaking as a software engineer myself I don't know what keeps these guys making apps for peanuts when you can easily find a gig in this field paying 100-200k a year without even having to look (yeah the head hunters find you). Not to mention once you create said labor of love and net a few thousand bucks your expected to give free updates indefinitely, or be shamed by the community. Sorry not thanks, when you could make 4 times that sitting on your hands working 5 hour days 4 days a week at the day job. Here's to hoping they keep at it though, however I wouldn't object to supporting the initiative somehow, maybe I just missed it? Since it seems this has nothing to do with the PC DayZ. Luckithroe Well-Known Member Feb 27, 2010 123 0 0 #20 Luckithroe, Jul 7, 2017 I haven't played a ton yet, but it does seem to hit the right keys (from what I recall) for a dayz game. That said I haven't experimented enough with the crafting yet to make a good comparison to don't starve yet. Interesting/good question though. I'd be curious to hear others opinions.
