Is it possible for you to add GC achievements and a leaderboard but have them retro activate. Not sure what you call it but its when you add the GC stuff it pulls from what you already did in game.
Yeah don't change that. I like it. Plus it gives the player a reason to want to upgrade their bag for longer trips underneath.
Really enjoying this so far though I admit I'm not very far in. My only complaint (other than the text size as listed above) is that unlike in other mining games like Terraria and Junk Jack, you apparently can't mine above your character? I'm ok with no "reach" to the pickaxe but if there's an ore directly overhead I feel as though you should be able to hit it. It made for frustrating trips where I would find great veins and have to travel all the way back to the top and mine down to access them. Does that change at all with upgrades? Also, which upgrades increase inventory? Suit?
I bought Mining on Mars and its pretty damn great so far, and I am only after my first craft and I already discovered a statue, some monsters, aliens gave me a warning, mined and shoot. I dont usually like mining games but this seems something different. Loving it. Achievements are already there, for example after shooting a flying thing you get something that is an achievement "Kill a monster" but only in-app, not in GameCenter -because its not there-, I think it will be so easy to implement. I vote for this too
I'm enjoying this game as well...great ambiance and I'm having a hard time putting it down. My only feedback so far is that it desperately needs some kind of map for the underground.
For someone who has never played mine games is this worth getting? Now I know the mine fans probably will say yes but I'm a noob at this sort of games
You can shoot to dig the dirt. Mining requires a bit of thinking. If you want a mineral from above, dig the closest dirt spot by shooting and the dig your way to whatever you want. Eventually you get an item to make this easier (as mentioned in this thread already)
I don't really like mining games too but so far, I would say mining is a big part of the game but never becomes repetitive as you are always advancing at a good pace, finding new areas and discovering Mars stuff (don't want to spoil). And the atmosphere and music is incredible. I say go for it. Note: Been playing for more than an hour now
This game is very similar to Steamworld Dig on 3DS (eshop). If you like MoM you should check that out too.
Am I the only one who'd like a map of the areas you discover? Or am I too dumb to find the map in the interface?
I find remembering your way part of the fun TBH. Maybe a way to place signal flares or something would do it.
Does anyone know how to activate anti-gravity mode while wearing boots which has ability to do so? I couldnt find any info in the manual.
