I would say the majority of the action comes from the boss chambers - about 70% of your time will be spent mining and gathering resources. You do encounter enemies in the "wild", but they are easy to dispatch and pose no real threat. This is definitely more Terraria than Minecraft, for sure. Aside from weapons and armor, there is zero crafting and building involved though.
looks like Digger 1 and 2 (with that dig machine to gather items and money for the farm and collecting artifacts) This is going to be on my list for tonight
Would be more accurate to compare with Terraria than Minecraft. And it reminds me more Capsized+ than Metroid.
How am I able to dig a block above my character with the pickaxe? He is using the jetpack as soon as I slide my finger upwards. So far, great game like expected.
You can shoot at blocks to dig up - except for mineral blocks. This gives mining a bit of strategy. There are anti gravity boots later as an upgrade that let you mine upside down as well.
this is a mining game, kind of like i Dig it or Motherload, where you dig down, gather resources, go back to the surface, upgrade, try to dig down further. Sure there are some Terraria similarities but I think its closer to the other two. There's really no point in this game to build anything - you are trying to get to the bottom of things (pun intended) and Metroid similarity for the atmosphere and enemies. If we add a different mode later on, not related to the storyline, then it might make sense to build. Although if you look at the buildings, it doesn't really seem like there would be any way to make that possible.
It's 2014. What kind of a question is that, "does it have retina support?"?! Of course it does! Also since the performance on my iPod Touch 4 is fine (It is a 2D game afterall) my guess is you won't have any trouble running it on a 4S.
Torn on both this and Block Fortress: War. Not a huge fan of mining, but this looks pretty dang cool. Not a big fan of building ala Minecraft in the case of BF, but the battles/RTS elements are luring me as well. Decisions, decisions (especially with a never ending backlog).
Huh, I thought apple required devs to have retina support by now. Well then to correct my previous post: Which game made- or published by Crescent Moon Games doesn't have retina support?
Been at this for about a week and I can tell you beyond any doubt, the most important item for your survival is the third (I think) pair of boots that allow you to mine upside down. Once you have these, you will never run out of fuel again because you can just reverse gravity and float to the surface. Also, ignore all boss battles until you are geared up. They are very difficult, as is navigating the ruins in which they reside.
This is goings to be the first game I buy tonight, definitely been looking forward to it for a while. Thanks for the video Sanuku.
Thanks for all the info guys. This is becoming my favorite go to forum. This looks like a instabuy for me.
