That's great news, would love to see it get a little larger. Also, any chances that a dirt gun will be added that creates a dirt block? I can't help but wishing I could place dirt here and there
I been digging a lot (reached around 3000m) and it doesnt seem to end vertically, horizontally I reached both sides. So, it is really a bottomless pitt? Also, try to get the gravity boots as soon as possible, they are a game changer. Should have bought them before.
Awesome. I hope whatever changes you make will work within a game already in progress. As much fun as the game has been, I wouldn't want to start from scratch to experience the improvements/add-ons.
I took your advice on going straight down from a portal, and that's been very helpful in the earlier times before I upgraded the jet pack a couple times. Question though- I got the anti-grav shoes, but I missed the note on how to dig upside-down. How do you do that?
Touch the top center of the screen. Don't worry...I missed it too and felt really dumb when I finally figured it out.
Thank you so much, I actually just figured it out and was about to edit the post. Yeah man, i was like "ughhhh" in disgust, I tell you I was double tapping the jump, holding it, swiping up, jumping will drilling etc etc lolol
Your ideas are okay. I just want to have a small tip as to how to get back to the portal. Now my strategy is to build a vertical tube down next to the portal, because I get lost easily. I'd love to have more possibilities of expansion without investing 5 minutes in finding the portal.
Hey, I've noticed a couple bugs recently and thought I'd come mention them; If you're mining and you place two fingers on the left side of the screen the game will crash. Secondly, I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm going mad but... I think my pickaxe is taking longer to mine every time I log in? With the bronze pickaxe I was sure I was knocking blocks down in 6 hits and when I upgraded to cobalt, it went down to 5. Earlier today I logged in and the cobalt took 6 hits for a block, and the bronze took 8. I just logged on now and my cobalt is taking 7 hits to destroy dirt. :/ Is this cause the deeper you get the more hits it takes per dirt block or am I going nuts? Speaking of the pickaxe though, I've noticed that sometimes when mining it does a double hit the first time you strike so that could be messing with me (bug as well?) One last thing, is that yellow bot seems to only ever tell me about minerals for the heat resistor and nothing else; all I want are emeralds and he keeps giving me platinum and diamond. ;3;
Thanks for the message! Yeah, the two finger bug. Zeillusion pinpointed that yesterday and we have that fixed in the update. The dirt does get tougher the deeper you are so axes will take less swings near surface than way down. The double hit is a bug. The yellow bot must be telling you about equipment upgrades. He will just pick something at random. If you keep asking him you might get him to tell you about the item you care about. Unless you are looking for an axe. There's another bot that will specifically tell you about axe upgrades.
Thanks for the quick reply haha! Yeah I am looking for equipment minerals, but I've clicked him like 50 times and the only minerals and equipment he tells me about are for the heat resistor. At first he only told me about rhodite till I had enough and bought that heat resistor, and now he only tells me about platinum and diamond for the next one. I ran into the blue bot and all he'd say was info bites instead of any mineral locations but I figured out that it was because I HAVE all the minerals required for the revolver but I'm just saving for the steel pick.
By the way, what CAN you get from the wishing well? I haven't tried it yet, but I now have every item and every upgrade available as well as lots of every mineable. Just the last boss, then I am finished. So what could I gain from the well?
You can win artifacts that fill your stats and go into the museum. You can also win gems and some special items. In the update the pit has a few fixes and also has better odds of winning at least something.
Digging and exploring cave systems is a blast - right up until you realize you don't remember how to get out. This, of course, is on purpose, and it adds a great deal of strategy to the game. Unfortunately, the ability to drill your way straight down through any material, and then return home without expending any fuel via the gravity boots is a gamebreaker. Personally, I would like to see some unbreakable blocks lining the caves, and maybe some way to mark them. This would eliminate the late game strip-mining and force you to keep spelunking all the way to the end.
Hmm this game gets boring quickly, Im afraid i deleted it and am back to Tereria, there isnt much to do in this game, Not much to mine maybe 5 or so different blocks and nothing to build! sure you can upgrade armor etc but I would like to have been mining to build a better base, more buildings, blocks and tools are needed. it becomes a chore cycle of returning to base just because your inventory's full, crafting or block exchange for gems isnt fun. why not have to mine for resources and build the base first before you can use it. like other mine/crafty games. I think its about half a game, compared to Tereria or junkjack its a very empty world. Controls work well though, i became quite good at flying and shooting, but just didn't want to waste 20 hours repeating the same thing over and over just to upgrade armor and a gun. Mining needs building ore-else whats the point in mining anything if you cant use it.
Yep! That's definitely possible. we don't want to try to be a terraria, but a block shooting gun already came up in our discussion. It could work well in our versus mode to set up stages or traps.
You are right on I believe. The anti-gravity boots should require constant fuel to run them. This will really help with late stage game balance as you pointed out.
Good point, but I would first like to give my congrats to developer WickeyWare for making such an AWESOME AWESOME game!!! This game is the perfect balance of fun, discovery, and grinding, not to mention, the great quality graphics.....so great, that I actually can't put my iPad down for hours on end!! Thank you very much for making this masterpiece! This game was WELL worth the wait! Here's my input: -Music cuts out if app is minimized or if device falls asleep; minor bug. -Some of the craft descriptions mention an unassociated element/mineral. -Drills take on the form of pickaxes after crafting them (intentional?) -I had no idea that spikes were responsible for the death of a certain boss...I thought my weapons killed him, but now since I read this thread, I know why he magically died when I thought I pulled off an out of range magnum shot to his backside. Maybe you can make those spikes glow or something to hint the player? -I agree that a limited radar would be a nice addition...but if implemented, please consider an ON/OFF switch. Controversial Input OK, in terms of being able to dig anywhere, I completely want to keep it that way. The feeling of such freedom is invigorating! I do not recommend removing this exclusive feature! I am aware that digging a vertical shaft is helpful with fuel, but I didn't think of that idea until much later in the game...like when I already purchased the final jetpack upgrade, lol...therefore, I was able to experience the thrill of nearly being out of fuel on the way back to the surface many times along with the relief of finally being able to buy the next upgrade. The digging style is completely the choice of the player. With such a limited storage, especially when mining deep, your storage fills VERY quickly and going to the surface soon becomes a chore....but due to how well the game is balanced, it doesn't bother me much...thanks to the vertical shaft, haha! Using the boots with the anti-gravity well to traverse the vertical shafts is another choice of the player; I personally never tried that because it'd take longer to go up/down compared to using the jetpack. The fuel economy certainly is affected by such 'clever' ideas........I recommend this fix for players who are concerned: **Make a separate 'CHALLENGE' difficulty and remove the anti-gravity well feature from the boots (note that item descriptons + dialogue between Miner and CRONUS should be altered). **For the jetpacks (in 'CHALLENGE' difficulty), increase fuel consumption on vertical/semi-vertical thrust OR make some sort of overheat gauge (although contrary to the original jetpack descriptions) that would cause the jetpack to shutdown momentarily thus causing the player going up the vertical shaft to fall while the jetpack cools/recharges. Although the player can improvise 'support/stair' blocks on the shaft to 'land on a side block' while falling, it'd be very troublesome to do this on long deep shafts........especially late game when you get down there and find yourself already FULL in inventory and just want to get back to the surface to smelter/cut your resources. Now what I'd like to see: 1. NEW GAME + -Start with a limited amount of all resources with all CRAFTS unlocked -Complete the Mars mines again; after the last boss is defeated again, maybe have a new mine available either on Mars or a different planet. -This new mine would contain a few new resources and MUCH more monsters/aliens than the original mines. -With new resources comes new upgrades. Just an idea, heheh. I'm more into the single player experience. =P
That sounds good, as long as the final jetpack still had unlimited fuel. I figured out the antigravity way too late to take advantage of the lack of fuel usage, but it would have definitely saved me some effort if I discovered it sooner. Almost makes the final jetpack unnecessary (almost...I still love it).
