Please comment on controller support. This is the perfect game for it - it needs to be in. Otherwise I may wait til the Steam release.
Asking for ios 6 support is one thing but 5.1 ? I dont want to miss out on any features if the dev has to make sure it supports old IOS systems
Reminded me of what's-his-name that would just go off when Devs wouldn't support iOS 3.x when 6.x was out... Anyway, thanks for the response, Josh! Lack of MFi controller support will never be a deal-breaker for me, but it's always nice having another game to play with my MOGA. =oD
I was REALLY looking forward to this game, but it's really sad. This game does a lot of things, but it doesn't do any of them well. Everything is just so mediocre. The mining is slow and tedious. So far I can't see any way to dig above your character, leading to a very annoying inability to reach certain tiles. Offering pit is not explained at all, and I gained a bit of bronze in the beginning and ended up offering it at the offering pit. Now I need more bronze for my pick upgrade, but I can't find any. Combat is somewhat awkward, with your character taking a LOT of damage early on and no obvious way to heal your character. Although refueling and ammo are obvious enough. There is zero discovery with crafting. It's just filling out recipes. This game feels like those boring fetch quests in MMORPGs. Collect 30 red mushrooms for me! Only here it's "fetch quests" to fill out crafting recipes. Your "bag" fills out WAY too quickly. I know there are upgrades for it, but still, the basic bag fills up after digging out 6 or 7 tiles that contain stuff. The first bag upgrade only doubles the capacity. Oh, and the character's digging animation is extremely annoying to look at, with his moving back and forth like some rag doll. He'd give himself whiplash the way he moves his head like a headbanger.
Feedback Ok, thanks for the feedback - we actually redid the mining animation a ton of times until we thought it looked right. There's also drilling of course, where there is no headbanging. With the crafting recipes we did that on purpose so it wouldn't be a pain to figure out what you needed next. There are actually some secret items that you can find (that are super powerful) the more you get into the game. The point of this, like other deep mining games, is to upgrade as you go further. To mine up, you simply shoot up (unless its a mineral block) then you have to go around. The Offering Pit is a place to gamble, so yeah, stay away until you've got plenty of ore to mess with. I think if you stick with this game you'll find its much deeper than it seems on the surface. There is a lot to it, it unravels over time as you play.
So, you want a game where you start with a launcher to kill bug, with a drill to digg quickly ? You know, this game is like a RPG, more you progress more you're powerfull. You need to learn manage fuel it's easy. I don't know how you played, but I've played 16 h and i saw my character better when i crafted a lot of stuff. Search the iron, you don't need to go so far from the teleport, and you'll progress quickly .
Your inventory Bin contains raw material, and the tiles with 0X by them is the refined material. Go smelt and cut and your have an empty bin and ingots in the tiles.
It looks really great but it seems like there are mixed reviews by certain people. Should I hold out?
This looks interesting, but is it a clone of junk jack x or terraria or blockheads, or is it a different idea ?
