Mines of Mars - a mining and exploration game (Forest Moon)

yes it is free roaming, open underground world.
as far as customization goes, there are different helmets, jetpacks, (maybe boots), and armor that you acquire over the course of your journey to the bottom.

ores:

amethyst, bronze, cobalt, diamond, emerald, ruby, gold, iridium, obsidian, iron, opal, platinum, rhodite, sapphire, steel, and topaz - i think are the ones in the game currently.

 

yes, that's how you upgrade. You get a crafting recipe for each new upgrade (weapon/jetpack/armor)

Going to be a bit before showing gameplay but we'll have in game screens in a week or two.

 

Yes - the surface is the city. The underground area is pretty huge.

 

the worlds are not infinite - its one world, Mars (as in the title)
the weapons are guns.
there are some meteor showers from time to time on the surface, and we'll have some wind storms as well.
