Mines in Space: Minesweeper
Can't believe I just paid money for a goddamn minesweeper game. The reviews are good, and it's a good price I guess (for a minesweeper game...?).
Played it for a bit. Not too shabby, nicely polished and expands on the minesweeper idea as much as I think possible. Worth $0.99 for those who enjoy playing.
I ended up getting it last night! Too many positive reviews and feedback to let this one go. I already know I like Minesweeper and the various gameplay twists, trophies, and graphics, make it look even more enjoyable.
Mines in Space is great. Forget about the game variants etc. It's great just because it yells "Miiiiiiines in Space" at you, in the style of an old scifi movie. I love the game just for that. I always have to smile when I hear the intro voice!
I almost bought this, but why is the game over 16MB? Oh well, maybe I'll remember when I'm home some time.
It has been .99 for a long time...and it isn't really 70% off. Check out appsniper for pricing history. Maybe I will post a screenshot later.
No need for a screenshot just check out www.AppShopper.com
It's been 99c for a "limited period" since February 6th, apparently...
It is actually a fairly good mine sweeper game. I had been looking for one, as it makes a nice diversion on occasion. The additional 3 modes of game play are interesting. None of them are quite as addicting as the original mine sweeper, but they do provide some brain exercise.
I researched all of the mine sweeper type games, and decided on this one and have been quite happy with it.
I haven't had an opportunity to really play it yet. I just downloaded last night right before falling asleep. And played one round on Easy just to get the feel for it.
How does one flag a mine?
This program could use some instructions.
Edit: Ooops, never mind, I found them.
only a 10 month bump? that's weak sauce
What can I say, I just found the game.
i know, but still. did you search google first (although i'm not sure how much info it would have given you)?
No, I didn't even consider it. You see, I spend a fair amount of time at this site called Touch Arcade. If I have a question about an iPhone game, I generally ask it there because its an iPhone game site with a large and active user base.
This evening, someone responded to one of my posts by implying that only new games should be discussed at the site, but I think I am going to ignore his implication except to post a subtly sarcastic response to him.
Do you think he is likely to notice the sarcasm?
