Minecraft update is buggy, but full of win. To make things better, I found a nearsurfacw dungeon after a quick walk
Yup. Betapocolypsed the server I've been playing on. Broke all the mods, all of a sudden it's survival mode!
With mobs on, it's not so bad as people tend to gang up against the mobs. BTW, I'm still playing on raddafiskie.com if anyone cares to join us. (Betapocolypse long over!)
Is there any new word on when Minecraft is going to be out for the iPad? Or iPhone, but seems like this would be better served on a bigger screen. I've never played this game, only read about it and it sounds great, but I don't game on my computers much, so I'm hoping we'll get an iPad version before long.
The iPhone/iPad version will be great, but it's not gonna match the PC version. As far as I know they've really only just hired the main guy working on the conversaion so it's not anytime soon, but they did say this year hopefully... so probably towards the end.
Mine's really hard to get good screenshots of. I've been building a huge mansion inside a cliff face so you only really see the entrances from the outside and the inside is too much of a labyrinth to capture in one shot.
Yeah I have loads of complex tunnels and mines that would take too many screenshots to show the full scale of them. I've just taken some screenshots of my main buildings and features, will upload them soon.
The release date hasn't been announced yet, but I expect it'll come this year. Although I've read it's being made by a different developer and has been dumbed down a bit.
Ok, here are some screenshots from my world. These are just some of the main features, there's lots of other stuff that I haven't included. The swimming pool probably took me the longest time to make (hollowing out the area took forever). The swimming pool is actually directly beneath my house and can be accessed from the basement by descending down a long flight of stairs. Oh wow, those are awesome. I haven't got as many structures as that yet, partly because I haven't been playing much (or for very long) and also because I got bored of cobblestone and decided to build completely with sandstone... and man does that take a lot of mining. Really liking your waterfall/river though, and the house alongside it.
Thanks. I've been playing since an early version of the alpha build, so I've had plenty of time to build stuff. I have some more ideas, which will probably require much more time. This game just eats up your time like crazy if you aren't careful!
Unfortunately I lost my screenshots folder when I performed a supposedly non-destructive migration to Win7... But here's a few shots I uploaded to the Minecraft Forums... Right now I'm building a 3D maze under the town of Vista (/warp vista) but if you want to find my humble abode on raddafiskie.com then from spawn find the statue of Notch, stand under his left arm facing the same direction and keep walking straight forward. There's also a great tour of the server set up (/warp tour)
Wow that place is amazing. I wondered through the starting area and got horribly lost. I've only been playing the singleplayer, so I don't fully understand how the multiplayer works yet. Nice screenshots btw.
Yeah I've only played single player too, but if you're still around when I make the switch drelbs I'll come looking for you
/warp help will bring you to a building with all sorts of information about the server. Multiplayer can be very different from single. Raddafiskie is configured for survival mode, but there's no spawns nor is there nighttime (there used to be, but the've been modded out.) PvP is completely optional - the /god command makes you invincible. You can get diamond tools for free, and if any mods or admins are on you can just ask them to gift you materials. Mods can also place "protects" which mark a cube of area as yours and noone can build in it unless you allow them. Troublemakers get kicked/banned pretty quickly, there's lots of little towns/communities. Definitely a lot less chaotic than some other online servers I've played on. Who says you can't do both? What I like about online is being able to work on something with others, and just to see what other people have made - I'm not the most creative type, my single-player world is mostly underground tunnels and bridges and the occasional treehouse. I'll have to re-take some screenshots and post them here. I've got nothing on LBG's stuff though! If I had the time I'd see if anybody was interested in a TA-only whitelist server, I'm sure there are enough people here to make it interesting. I'll be waiting for ya!
The main reason I don't do both is because I only play Minecraft on Windows... and the only person with a Windows laptop around here is my mother So I have to borrow it occasionally and then I don't get much time to mess around. If I had it on here I'd be on it more often and switching about between SP and MP.
Love the classic version of this game I really want the beta but my dad would definatly not pay 20 bucks for me for a pc game hopefully they'll sell it on disc evantually
