I've decided that minecraft will be my new early Christmas present. (need to buy before beta) Edit: Yay, bought it... Now I can join everyone else "wait for beta" bandwagon.
Better get it soon, Minecraft goes into Beta Dec 20th, and the price will go up to 15 Euros. Front of my current hideout - fires out front are trees that didn't quite burn down, I built around them a bit - it's fun to watch animals and zombies hop over them and catch fire! Inside is mostly a hallway with stairs leading up and down. (Mostly down. ) There's a door on the back side of the mountain as well. Once established, I made a lit path back to my spawn point, and a little bit later I built a tunnel from the spawn point into this complex:
eh, why not. outside shot: The interior of my big wooden building: My central base: The interior of said base: View from Tower: Also, my underground swimming pool and restaurant:
Like this: You just need to link to the large image - not sure if postimage will allow that or not, it might be working for me since I have the image cached already... As much as I love the landscapes, it seems I'm always at the wrong time to go topside, so I'm pretty much always underground - been digging around just below the lava level, finding pockets of caves with lava and spawners in them. Oh yeah, and diamonds and ore!
I'm playing on a friends account right now on single player, is there a way to transfer my world to my account when I get it this weekend? And also can someone give me a crash course or a link of some tips for building awesome stuff and basics in MC in general? I have my own man-cave, pickaxe, furnace, and lots of confusion.
Yep, if you're on windows 7 just go into your appdata/roaming/minecraft/saves and copy the world file then paste it into the one on your computer. Though actually if you just switch accounts on the same computer it should still be there automatically. As far as tips, just make sure you have the crafting recipe's down pretty good (the minecraft wiki is a good place to go) and then let your imagination run wild. Also, don't be afraid to build something because you think it will look bad. The next time you build something similar it will come out a lot better.
I want this game but i have a few questions. 1. When you buy the game, is it multiplayer or single player? 2. How many computer can you download it on? 3. Just to clarify. For the blocks, you need to mine the stuff right?
when crafting in minecraft how do you separate the blocks? like for example i have 30 blocks in one, how do i make them into 3 separate blocks of 10?
What mode are you guys playing at? I usually do normal but I tried peaceful once and it is a lot less scary. (less tension, but easy to build stuff)
Normal most of the time, although I do admit, if I have a large load of fresh loot, and very little life left, then I'll dial down the difficulty to peaceful so I can make it back to my base, if I remember to.
BUT that is in Classic Mode. Which is a ton easier to build with. Now if someone did that in Beta (considering it comes out tmrw ) I would be impressed. Without hacks.
