A promo code is a code you put into iTunes that lets you download the app/song for free. If you want to redeem it with your computer, go to iTunes and on the upper left part of the screen you'll see a list of links, one of which is "redeem". You click on it, and then it asks you to type in a code, which you can just copy and paste. If you want to redeem it on your iphone/ipod, go to the App Store, tap on "Featured", scroll down to the bottom, and tap "Redeem". Then paste the code in if you copied it, and if not just type it in. Impressions. This really isn't the full Minecraft experience, but I am still more or less satisfied with my purchase (though, for it's current state of completion 5 dollars is DEFINITELY too much). It runs extreme smoothly and load times are minimal. However, as has been mentioned, several kinds of blocks currently are not displayed (including any stuff added in the last update), you are (strangely) one square tall, and the game essentially functions like Minecraft Classic (so minus most of the most interesting aspects of the original game), but the engine is still impressive. Based on the level of performance they have going right now and the pretty effective level importing, I think this definitely has the potential to be absolutely great. At the moment, though, it's basically a rough tech demo. So... 3.5, maybe 4/5 coconutbowling Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2008 3,208 58 38 Student Pennsylvania #13 coconutbowling, Jan 24, 2011 Last edited: Jan 24, 2011 Yay, 3rd topic on this game! Edit: I forgot my main point for posting this. Notch didn't give them all the tools necessary to make it, so I don't know if you can call it a "demo". And what can you expect, it can't handle the mobs and all the whatnot that runs in the PC minecraft. Don't give me crap like, "The latest gen iDevices are liek, relly powrful n stuffz," because I know that it's NOT. You're judging based on it's graphics, but there's way more behind it. /rant Oh also, the last few parts weren't directed at you. Anyway, really nice game for the iPod. Wish it would work for my iPod 2nd gen. Since I'm such a Minecraft freak, I'm going to keep it until I upgrade. drelbs Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2009 11,201 7 38 #19 drelbs, Jan 24, 2011 Ding ding ding, we have a winner! Of course it's not Minecraft, it's an app to explore your Minecraft worlds. And for that, it does an OK job. mjwest Member Jan 26, 2011 14 0 0 #20 mjwest, Jan 29, 2011 is it possible to pm a code to me (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
