I read the initial review and was turned off a bit.. That was years ago, so has the app greatly improved? Is it more similar to the pc version now?
Any hobby can quickly become an addiction and affect ones relationship. Minecraft isn't one of the best selling games of all time for nothing nor would Microsoft drop $2.5 billion on it if it wasn't a huge success. In any event the game is fun, I personally haven't hit that spot where the game because some huge addiction. I enjoy it but can take or leave it, I've played it on my Mac, iPhone, iPad, PS and Xbox. I'm pleased with the state of the Pocket Edition at this point, huge improvements with it since its initial release. If you are a fan of the game go for it. If you've never played it the price of the Pocket Edition isn't bad so it's worth getting to try assuming you don't mind touch controls. There lots to do in the game. One thing I'll mention though, when I bought the App The lite version was so outdated that it was a poor representation of the actual game you get when you pay. It was just because they never bothered to update it with new content. Not even sure if there is still a lite version or if it may have finally been updated.
Login to Serveraddress posssible? Hi, I just read an article about a city that they built in Minecraft. They give this information so you can log in and wander around in it: Serveradresse: mc.mcvienna.at Serverversion: 1.8/1.8.1 Teamspeak 3: ts.mcvienna.at I have never played Minecraft, does this work only on the PC version, or on iPad too? This would be quite an incentive to buy it if that worked, thanks!
Does anyone know if there's a chance of skin packs becoming in-app purchases? I know they're on the console versions and it'd be cool to have the option on mobile. I don't want to have to jailbreak my iPad or go through some weird computer thing to add skins. I'm totally down to pay for cosmetic stuff like that.
Daughter will be over the moon when she sees to No she won't. Game crashes when loading worlds. Unable to purchase skins as get "cannot connect to store" error. Tried on two devices, same problems. She's gonna kill me for messing with her ipad lol.
Same problem here on my 6+. Luckily I haven't updated on my iPad yet, which is what my daughter plays this on. But the world we have been playing on together is on my phone, so hopefully that won't be lost forever because of this update. Edit: Game seems to play just fine with world created after updating. Only worlds created before the update make the game crash. Still blows, but at least it's still playable. Still can't purchase skins, though. That's not a huge deal, as you can add custom ones for free, but I was willing to throw some bones to support the development of the mobile version. (Not like Mojang is hurting for cash, I just like to vote with my wallet.)
My kids can't get local multiplayer to work after the update. Both running latest version of iOS 8 with iPad mini.
I play Minecraft on IOS and also on Amazon Fire TV. So far no update on Amazon Fire TV... Am I doing something wrong and or is the update not coming to the Fire TV version.
The game constantly crashes just a few seconds after launching and a couple of button taps. I have a very unhappy child! :-(
Mine did that too but then stopped after a few starts. Multiplayer crashed it too about six times but now it works great!
My kid tried about 20 times to launch the game, but it just wouldn't work. Can I ask what device you're running it on?
Anybody else having problems joining multiplayer worlds? Says something about invalid name whenever I try to join. I'm playing on iPhone 5 ios 8.0 by the way.
