I can't find villages, are they working properly? I read somewhere that they're not generating when you create a new world, maybe they're just not common? Edit: Nevermind, took forever to find but they're there!
I've found both enderman and a village. But an annoying creeper exploded a part of a village so i restarted mines.
Problems with 9.0update Hello, I have been playing an infinite world since the update. Tonight it started crashing every time I swipe the screen to turn my character. This does not happen on my old smaller world. I'm assuming this is related to the running out of memory message? I did get this message a day or two ago but the world did not crash. I have tried closing all background apps and powering my iPad down. I have an iPad Air 128 gig.
Is it just me, or do none of the existing worlds work now? I've had this game since there was no night time and they had like twenty blocks, and this is the first time I can't seem to load anything I've built.
I've had no problems the last few days at all playing this. It's working really well. Last night in my main save I decided the jungle surrounding my home was a bit too lush so I crafted a couple flint & steel and went around burning the majority of it to the ground. Ah, that makes building a small kingdom easier. Sure, I could have just ventured out to find a different environment but I kind of like to build an area up before moving on. Anyway, great job with the update. Yes I had a couple crashes early on with the oven... but none since then. Good old ios6 and 4S.
With the 0.9.0 update that has come out I feel like the days (and nights) need to be slightly longer. I find myself traveling over longer distances in general even if I'm not exploring just because I don't have to worry about world size. Otherwise I love the update and feel like I will play the game much more often now. It runs great on my kindle fire hdx 7.
Yeah, days seem a bit short... but, if I'm really itching to keep doing something without fear of enemies then I can just switch the difficulty over to what essentially is peaceful in the settings. I think I may try this on my android tablet tonight. It might be nice on the bigger screen over my iphone.
I can agree with that for sure. I enjoy the PvE encounters when mining, caving, and resource gathering. That being said, when I'm doing something such as building or landscaping a creeper from behind is nothing more than a pain, even if I do survive.
I've to set the view distance to the lowest level to get it smooth on my MiniR. This must be some kind of a joke. Cant believe a whole team isn't capable of tweaking the performance to an average level while one single dude who created survival craft got this done right from the start.
0.9.2 is out. I haven't tried it yet to see what is fixed. Side note, I played this on my generic android tablet last night and stayed up wayyyy too late. No crashes, glitches or other oddities worth noting. It played perfectly. I still love Survivalvraft on both platforms but now I can love Minecraft PE as well. My new save last night was called Survival101 with a seed name of the same. It starts between some desert and plains with a nice little sand island close to the starting point which I'm using as my home base. There's a couple caves nearby too.
The game runs great but the reason they can't make changes easily is because the game is written in C++, which if you don't program isn't the most elegant language. Mojang didn't think PE was gonna be this big, so they didn't plan for extra features. Survivalcraft was planned in advance so dev started from scratch.
It's funny to see a lot of people having performance issues with much more capable devices than my 5C. I've never had to lower draw distance or anything else and my worlds (some of which are quite big) perform really smooth like silk...
Heck, same here... except I'm on a 4S running iOS6. ... Anyone try 0.9.2? Maybe it's fixed some of the issues? I'm upgrading now.
Ok, I gave 0.9.2 a try on my 4S and no problems. I started a new save using my "Survival101" seed and went forward to the island to setup base and the plains beyond that to gather enough wood for the first night and then back to the island to fortify the cave in it before aiming to survive the first night. I crafted a crafting table, then a pick axe... used the wooden pickaxe to get some cobble stone to craft a stone sword to take out some enemies... and crafted a furnace to convert some wood into coal to make some torches. Since this is a seed of what I played last night on my android tablet, everything is the same... so I know where to dig for the first bit of coal and iron. Anyway using the furnace I cooked some beef as well as made the coal and no glitches or errors. Whatever they fixed, so far so good. Now to update the android version for tonight
i always told myself if they made the pocket editions world infinite, i would buy it, but now im just waiting for it to not be buggy.
So far no bugs to report in 0.9.2 that came out this morning. I can honestly recommend grabbing Minecraft PE. Before 0.9, I would have said to wait and just get Survivalcraft. Maybe others will update to 0.9.2 and see if the minor bugs are gone that they experienced. If I have any issues I'll post back here as well.. but for now, I see no reason to wait anymore if you have been itching to have Minecraft on a portable device.
Minecraft runs flawlessly for me since the latest update. iPad Air. I have both minecraft and survivalcraft, I would recommend getting both if you can.
On which graphic settings do you play at? I'm also on 0.9.2. ofc it's smooth when there is almost nothing to render but as soon as many trees popping in it becomes almost unplayable.
My daughter found a seed online that spawns near two villages, I remember someone asking a few days ago for one so thought I'd post it. -1006519354
