the minecraft website has a video saying the release of minecraft pocket edition for the Xperia PLAY. just wondering if its true, because the sooner its released for Xperia PLAY the sooner they will release it for the iPhone.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mojang.minecraftpe&hl=en My understanding is that the game is very incomplete compared to the current desktop version of Minecraft, it's a 0.1 beta port of a game that itself is still in beta. I wouldn't hold my breath for an iOS version anytime soon.
Notch stated on his blog that the Pocket Edition is going to be Android Exclusive for now. I don't know if it's 100% going to the iOS. I was pretty bummed out that my Android (HTC Droid Eris) couldn't play it, because it looks simple enough. I even have a custom ROM on OS 2.3.4 >.>
I could be wrong about this but isn't the entire reason it's limited to the xperta play because it doesn't have any touch screen movement controls at the moment? I'm sure it'll come to iOS but I'm convinced it's not going to happen for at least another year.
Oh. Maybe I read the Facebook page wrong Oh well >.< I guess I haven't checked the dates, since last time I checked, the Xperia Play version was to be released back in May 0.o
