I was playing Minecraft today and I noticed that one of my areas (it was a Taiga biome, the biome with the pine forests/trees) and all of a sudden a few hours later after playing Minecraft, it changed to a Taiga biome with snow. Is that supposed to happen?
Weather came as an update and I think that is what happened to your biome. Although I have only seen rain fall, maybe snow does but rarely
Weather came as an update a fairly long time ago. Snow used to fall only in the tundra, but as of 1.1 it falls in the taiga too. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history#1.1
