There’s no way to remove ads despite the IAP is being listed on the App Store as available. Physics might be okay-ish, but it’s really easy to run off of dynamite without a notice or get stuck basically everywhere. The only way is to restart level. But the worst is the performance. The game feels sluggish on iPad 7th gen 2019 despite its pixel art visuals. However cute it looks, it’s far from enjoyable. It’s a standard for games to run buttery smooth at 60fps these days, so I suspect a lack of optimization on the developer’s side. I’m glad the IAP is missing in-game, because I usually buy these right away with highly anticipated games but in this case I would’ve been so disappointed. I hope the game will get an update eventually, but until then I’m not keeping it on my device. And since it’s pretty uncertain, I might easily miss it. It’s a shame it turned out this way. I really was looking forward to it. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #4 Royce, Jan 18, 2020 It asks if you want to remove ads at some point. It’s kind of crazy that’s it’s not in any menu anywhere though. Looks like if you say no, there’s no way to make the purchase. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #5 metalcasket, Jan 18, 2020 Yeah, as Royce said, there's definitely a prompt that pops up at some point, but I wholeheartedly agree with you about the performance. It feels exactly like that cutesy Crescent Moon platformer that came out recently. We've been spoiled with how amazingly games like Pascal's Wager run that it's completely immersion-breaking when something feels this sluggish. EDIT: The game I'm thinking about was a Kirby-like or something. I couldn't tell you more without looking it up because I immediately deleted it despite having pre-ordered it for a while. :/ EDIT 2: Whipseey (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
