http://www.doubleviking.com/videos/page0.html/how-canadians-drink-milk-12683.html When I first watched that, I thought she was just trying to make us Canadians look retarded or something to the rest of the world... But then I read the comments on that article that I had found on digg, and it turns out that in Eastern Canada milk in a bag is extremely popular. I live in Western Canada and NEVER have I heard of milk in a bag... This has possibly been the biggest shock of my life, I'll be freaking out about this for quite a while. I don't know if all of you guys, even in the states have heard of this. But if you haven't, then here's a wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_bag My life will never be the same.
Yes, I had those for a while in Montréal, then we switched to glass bottles. We even had a Milk Man: that is something I have not seen out west either. Eastern Canada is a whole other Canada.
What the hell are you guys talking about? None of this makes any sense!!? You guys don't buy milk in a bag? That's just weird!
AHHHH I'M FREAKING OUT! This is so confusing and messed up... "Milk bags are common in several countries and regions of the world, including Argentina, Nicaragua, Eastern Canada, China, Colombia, Hungary, India, Israel, Montenegro, Poland, South Africa, Uruguay and Wisconsin." That's from wikipedia... IT'S JUST EASTERN CANADIANS AND RANDOM OTHER COUNTRIES. This is insanity.
China and India? That's quite a few people. Ok, to be honest, I grew up in Quebec drinking from milk bags for about 20 years, than moving to Ontario things changed when my wife decided to buy milk in carboard containers for the last 12 years. Here's another one for you, American don't have ketchup chips!!? Or hardly any other flavoured chips that all of us Canadian take for granted. Good luck trying to find smoky bacon chips!
Hahaha, I actually found out about the ketchup chip thing a couple of months ago too. I thought that was pretty weird as well. And yea I know, half the world population is in china and india, I was kidding about that part. xD
Milk in a bag Milk in a bag Lookin' like a fool with your milk in a bag With the milk in your bag Milk turned sideways Milk hits the bag Call yourself a cool cat Lookin' like a fool Walkin' downtown with your milk in a bag Get it up, hey! Get your milk in a box Lookin' like a fool Walkin' talkin' with your milk in a bag. Get it up, hey! Get your milk in a box Lookin' like a fool with your milk in a bag!
In the college dormitories we had these large milk dispensers where you lifted a weight and it would dispense milk from a bag (kept cold inside the dispenser.) They looked like the one on the left.
They've gotta be messing with you. I lived in Colombia for 3 years. They use cartons. Quite sophisticated technology.
Milk in a bag was the norm for me, growing up in Zimbabwe 3 and half decades ago. We even had a wire "jug" to hold them and to pour from, once you'd cut a corner off. If you were posh, you sometimes got milk in a glass bottle, with a foil top. Cardboard cartons or plastic bottles were fictional things we only ever saw in movies.
I live in Eastern Canadia but I rarely drink milk in a bag, my friend lives off it but I stick to good ol' cartons .
Same here. I live in British Columbia and the first time I went to visit my relatives in Toronto and they had milk in a bag I thought it was the weirdest thing.
