It is a fun game and I like it a lot. However, I was very much looking forward to portrait mode but it's suboptimal. The main menu is still landscape, so it only rotates in the actual game, and you need to disable the rotation lock on the phone for that to work, which makes it kind of cumbersome. Any chance we can just get rotation as an option that's remembered, and also make the main menu portrait? Anyway, great game! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for quickly adding portrait mode. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, but it's turned out to be a bigger bonus than I thought it'd be. It combines with the quick game play to make Militia my go to game for morning coffee & breaktimes at work. I had a hard time wrapping my melon around the teleportation mechanics at first too. Once I discovered that tapping on any square will highlight it's mirror it started to gel nicely and the Wizard came into his own. This highlights an aspect of Militia that I really dig: the joy of discovering all the little nooks and crannies for yourself, instead of having them spoon fed to you.
I should have bought this game sooner, it's really great. I'm level 5 after a few games and things are starting to get a little tense... How many levels are they btw ? I wish the best to the devs and hope they will bring their others games to ios
I'm loving it so far, and while maybe it's only me, but I had the hardest time finally completing Tutorial 9 (swapping spaces after the warrior attacks), compared to all other tutorials for both base and expansion modes of play. Any chance we'd ever see an Endless mode that combines both Light and Dark Worlds? Ideally both sets of heroes and creatures combined each level, but also a mode where the game just randomly flits back and forth would be interesting (Levels 1-2 Light World, 3 Dark World, 4 Light World, etc.).
I seem to run into a bug, or I just don't understand the rules, but when I hit a shielded enemy with the paladin (the hammer that restores others), the shield doesn't go away? Also, any explanation on why sometimes enemies that start out without shield end up getting a shield after some moves? Just out of curiosity. I'm liking it a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If I understand well, this is not a bug : to remove the shield you have to kill the "chief" (the enemy with an helmet) who gives protection to adjacent units. While shielded a unit is indestructible.
@Everybody thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you're enjoying it. This has definitely got me interested in exploring iOS more as a platform in the future .
