Ahh shucks, I thought there was a new update where Mikey had new pets like cats and dogs that he could capture and feed.
Thanks! Glad you are having so much fun with the game. And welcome to TA! Sounds like a plan. I think we'll add pets for Mikey, but you can only play with them for 1 minute. Then we'll have an IAP system in place where you can pay $1.99 for each additional minute you'd like to feed and play with your pet. Maybe charge $9.99 for pet food.
Sorry to say but think there are about 1000 games that already do this in app store lol P.s but there prices are higher lmao Additional p.s didn't notice was saucybags first post welcome to you and all
I've been playing the game in short spurts, but I'm slowly moving up the LBs. Currently 55th in challenge. I spend most of my time on Xbox playing Trials, which is an obstacle speedrunning game. One important element that keeps this game fresh is the allusion of the perfect run. No matter how good you are, there is always time to be shaven off of each track. I find Mikey Shorts lacking this. Eventually, you will be doing near perfect runs everytime, and the difference in time between competitors will become minuscule. I believe the levels are to blame for this. In Trials, the beginner/easy tracks have small time differences in between players, and the hard/extreme tracks have large time differences between players. I would like to play a few tracks that have large time differences between players. Now I know that you want to appeal to the casual players as well, and you can do that. Make the levels a little longer with easy, but slow, routes; and hard, but fast routes.
We feel that there's plenty of replay value in knowing that you can almost always improve in each level of Mikey Shorts. There's a reason why we display the time in hundredths of seconds. We're not planning on changing our level design. We'll just add more Challenge levels for players to complete and add to their total score.
A fun game, but for me not living up to the hype. Controls are great, graphics not so much for me. I am not sure what it is, but unlike League Of Evil 1&2, I did not get hooked trying to get the best scores.
Okay, I'm starting to get solid runs on each level. Currently 15th. C-8 is a perfect example of what I was trying to say. The level itself is very easy, but the perfect line demands precision that I don't find on most others. I'm not asking for harder levels, just more challenging lines. C-11 is an example of the opposite. The only part that separates player time, is the double drop. If the current run is ever beaten, it will either be by a tiny margin, or because somebody found an alternate route. Got 831 on C-3
Finally broke into the top ten on challenge mode of this amazing game. I was wondering if there will be any ridiculously expensive disguises to spend our money on. I have over 150k and it would be great to see like a gold top hat or the ability to wear gold pants for 100-200k
Challenge Mode has a total score for the leaderboards. Some levels will be easier than others to achieve close to a "perfect" run. The idea is that the player must first find the fastest route and then execute jumps, slides, and drops with precision. Once you think you've maximized your score on a level, you can move on to the next one.
I like the idea of expensive disguises, but I worry that they will seem out of reach for many people that enjoy getting 100% completion. Many players like to look at the Stats menu and see everything maxed out. It's something we're still discussing. Maybe we need a slot machine in the Shop.
Yes, I understand that some lines will be easier than others, but my worry is the replay value. I'm tied for first (along with others most likely) on C-11, and I don't see myself going back, unless there is a new route found. I don't think you want people to stop playing certain levels, because they have a perfect run. Unless you plan to keep updating with new levels, I guess.
Still for people that like to see 100% completion by the time all levels have been 3 starred, they should have about 50k i think. Thats plenty of money for some items much more expensive than the current shop
The next update has 12 new Challenge Mode levels. If you think you're at the point of not being able to improve on a level, then it's okay to move on. We feel there's still plenty of replay value in Mikey Shorts.
Thanks, and well done on top 3 in challenge. Ive played for 26 hours now, but atleast 7 of those have been on getting a 27:05 time on the first level. Finally did it on the wrong acc. $Bob$Chicken, lol. How long have u been playing?
