Thanks for advertising me. I'm not jb, but i'll never buy something which is jb protected. Supposing everyone who use jailbreak is a pirate is disappointing.

    Too bad, it looks good.

Just tried the comic app and it's working so far for me though I'm jailbroken, so that's good. Might buy the chapters if us JB users will be able to play the game eventually. Just one question on the comic: why can't we change the orientation and flip the phone upside down? The app doesn't reorient itself.

Also, wished there was music and SFX used throughout. The main menu had a good score. Would have loved that tension throughout! Great art, though.

Big shout out to thewzrd for helping my iap issue.

Amazing customer service they have, which is hard to come by.

Game is great and so are the devs. Thank you!

Every jail breaker is not a pirate, of course, but every pirate is a jail breaker.

Not true there's ways to do it without a jb anyway.

    Not on iOS 8

Either way it's of little or no relevance.

If you're not JB, try the game out and don't get in a twist just because they tried to protect it, they have A LOT invested in it, time, money and resources so it's natural to be a bit cautious on their first outing in a new platform.

If you are JB, well, I'm sure they will reevaluate the inclusion of the protection seems as plenty of people here are complaining about and giving out details of how to bypass it.
So just wait for an update, see how it goes and try the game out.

If they don't take it out, well fair enough also because jail breaking does invalidate Apples warranty and any developers obligation to support jail broken users.
So, you know, if one is willingly invalidating their warranty, along with breaking the security of their device and leaving themselves open to numerous forms of malware with even more surfacing everyday, I'm not really sure they have much to complain about when developers don't support jail broken devices.

Either way, the game is very solid and the polish and effort put in to it is very clear and well worth experiencing.
They did an excellent job of making "on rails" interesting, even just for that alone it's worth it but the visuals are very impressive also on device.

Oh and Batmania, have to 100% agree, TheWzrd is a top man and the very epitome of dev support that actually cares. He won't let anybody down and will take very seriously any suggestions from any one here and will help out wherever possible.
We are lucky to have him active on here.

Even on iOS 8, thought I do agree it is trivial as I don't support piracy! But all this talk of Warranty do you really think people jb'ing care for it, nothing a simple restore or dfu restore won't reinstate. for the malware if they get it then that's there fault for using pirate repos if you jb properly using the legitimate repositories and developers there is not trouble. Please don't give away negative info on the outcome of bad use, that's like saying windows isbad because malware exists.

Yep I agree, I only jail broke mine because I wanted my own wallpaper and change the look and feel of my ipad from the ridiculous restrictions apple placed on it. Anyway let's not get into a jb debate, I'll hang on and see if there is an update in the future

There's pro's and con's to just about everything and anything out there, be it Windows, Mac, jailbreak, non jailbreak, Ford or Ferrari.
My point is not to give away negative on any of those despite all of those things having negative (eg, no security) and positive (eg, customisation).

My point is that a few people on here have said that they will not install the game because it has jailbreak protection despite the fact that they are not jail broken themselves.
That, to me is not reason enough nor justification enough to ignore the game.
And I simply outlined in my post why I thought that.
People are portraying the JB protection in an app in a far more negative way than I have portrayed jail breaking (even though all I actually did was point out some of the actual effects of jail breaking ones device, the fact that they are negative ones or perceived by you as such, is not really my fault).
And that's just a little bit unfair. Particularly so on the part of the people who don't even have a jailbreak.

And I merely pointed that out because I think this is a very solid game.
If the game was bad or unpolished, well fair enough, that's reason enough not to install it.
But the thing is the game is good (much more so than I expected) and all the "feedback" on the jailbreak protection, especially so from non jailbreakers, is, well, simply a very unfair over reaction.

That's it really. Try the game out, don't let the JB protection be an excuse for the unjailbroken.
For the jail broken, wait and see if they change it and try it out if they do.
I believe people will enjoy the game. End of. No big deal.

And as a PS, sorry but iOS 8 is secure in what you're referring to.
Apple justifiably kicked that one out the door last November when it was tied to malware also.
Many more have been kicked out since then.
And the scrutiny has been very high for new applicants along with existing ones being closely monitored.
Apple isn't going to allow one of its own systems to be hijacked and misused in such a way again.

I appreciate the discussion (and Rip, thanks for the impressions on the game). It has us figuring out what to do over here, and we'll get a solution-- don't want anyone who wants to check out the game legit not to be able to.

Actually, I should start a Challenge for TA members. If any of you are up for it, let me know (and let me know your handle in the game). I'll invite you a little later today.

And if any of you guys are having any other issues (other than the jb one, hehe), let me know. We're working out the inevitable kinks in our systems every day, and you're helping me a ton.

    Same as usual:) Rip73.
Won't be on over the weekend though, taking a "digital holiday".
I'd definitely be up for doing some challenges with you next week though when I'm back from digital purgatory.

I'm also quite glad you're enjoying the game as well, it seems our taste commonality continues.

I like it enough that I picked up the starter pack without any hesitation for $10, just to send some money to the devs.

Well done! Now to get better at actually playing the game :)

    /tips hat

About getting better, our friends over at GamerU.com just posted a bunch of pro-tip how-tos over on their site and we put them in a playlist on YouTube. They break down all sorts of skills. There's like 27 and counting on the channel.

    Count me in! :)
    Only issues i have are:
    - no free probes for the daily log-in since two days i believe
    - and my log-in streak is stuck at 14 for the same timespan (even though curiously on the achievement screen it changed from 14 of 15 days to 14 of 30 days. Looks like the log-in somehow registered, but the count didn´t go up).
But no biggie, you have plenty to do with the launch i guess.

Just saw you made the energy timer more consumer friendly, well done! :)

    Enjoy the holiday!
And Pro Tip: get the APG Kemir and upgrade it fully, makes kill-chains easy while progressing through the story. And keep an eye on achievements to earn credits. Sometimes you have to change your play style a bit, but the credits are worth it.

BTW, any advice for further upgrades?
I invested in the choronal Magnum, but it i´m kinda underwhelmed of it´s level 0 performance. Got 1.140 credits, but on the fence right now where to invest.

    Sorry for double post:
Hey Wizard: Could you change it so we can see if we cleared a level on each of the three difficulties (normal, intense, brutal)?
Right now it only shows if one has cleared a campaign level, but not on what difficulty. A tiny thing, but i think it would add a bit more replay ability.
And maybe, separate leaderboards in line with the chosen difficulty ...? ;)
