Where's that thread link? Oh, right you didn't post one since it doesn't exist. Of course I've seen threads like the ones you mention, but that's not what this thread is...it's very specific--what games are on your best-of for the first half of this year. I DID search, and I DID rebut your so-called "argument". It is not trying to give comprehensive reviews. I suppose the fact that pretty much EVERY game, music, movie site gives year-end lists mean that they are meaningless also. And I think it's funny that you mention the second and third posts of this thread. Of course, there are people, yourself for example, who look around the forum for things to complain about but finding no satisfaction move onto perhaps the minigore thread. After those posts what you'll find are multiple pages of people listing the games they think are the best of the year so far. I'm still waiting for a link to that thread that's exactly like this one by the way.
Multiple posts on the same subject is kind of the sites fault for not stickying basic topics. If they want to allow multiples, read the topic and dont participate if you dont want too.
what is wrong with you people. aurora i dont see you going to the threads that are titled, "top ten games", "best story game" and you come here and tell this thread is stupid. if you thought it was stupid then you shouldnt of posted because who ever replys is kinda part of the thread. why dont you go make a better thread yourself?
To be honest; F.A.S.T is terrible. The graphics are eh, and the game is just terrible! lol.. How could you forget The Sims 3!? And the most addicting Zombieville. Lol..
Yeah... I did not Have been restraning myself from getting games that have specific numbr of levels, I hate when the game is over, its the Replaybility factor & the randomness tht I am looking for... However I'd buy it if it were on a not to miss sale such as Toki Tori or somethyn so irresistable
Well, EA just dropped Spore to $.99 today, so it could follow suit. If it does, I'd hop on it...I haven't finished it myself, but I only play it every other week or so.
Here's mine: 1. Resident Evil Degeneration 2. Zombieville USA 3. Mecho Wars 4. Bros. in Arms still up there 5. Zenonia 6. TNA Wrestling 7. Assassin's Creed 8. Puzzle Quest 9. iDracula (barely beating out 7 Days Apocalypse (Zombiehunter) due to more content) 10. Underworlds NOTE: I tried to rate these from a professional viewpoint, meaning I didn't base these on memories I've had or because I like the dev, I based it on how good the game actually is and how much I've enjoyed it while playing it. Also, I did not include Lite versions because it doesn't allow you to accurately rate the full product, and therefore a game could be a disappointment after a great level, which was the only thing used in the lite version. I also didn't include homebrew as these games are not available for purchase from the App Store.
I hopped on to Asphalt 4 for $ 1, to me, the controls are good, @least bettr than the Ferrari GT, meh controls (Had tried the Lite version, deleted it in less than a minute) I'll wait for ever for the Rolando Series to go on a bettr Sale, like I did for Archibald's adventure (bought for $ 2) Like I said, I'll pay $ 5 for a game like Worms for the randomness & replaybility factor, also no end of levels as no levels, rather than speding $ 1 for Ferrari GT or Star Hogs.
I mostly spend time playing RPG's on SNES4iphone emulator but here's my list of 2009 from the App Store (in semi-order): 1. Real Racing 2. Doom Resurrection 3. X2Football 4. Zenonia 5. Beat Rider 6. Rolando 2 7. F.A.S.T 8. Let's Golf 9. Star Hogs 10. Resident Evil 4 Honorable mention to Touch KO. Waiting for the update to up the level of difficulty. Really enjoy the gameplay just want a bit more challenge.
interesting, resident evil 4 is in your top? hmm i didnt really like it. the gamecube version is sooooo good though
In no particular order: 1. Real Racing (Whose top ten isn't this in?) 2. Peggle (Self-explanatory.) 3. Terminator Salvation (Short, but fun.) 4. Zenonia (Haven't dug too far into this, but so far it's a blast.) 5. Harbor Master (Better than Flight Control.) 6. Caster (If you don't have this already, BUY IT.) 7. Knights Onrush (Hilarious!) 8. Castle of Magic (Finally a good platformer.) 9. Sway (Very innovative and fun.) 10. One Dot Enemies (There's absolutely no point to it, but that's what makes it so epic.) Feel free to comment/flame.
INPO, 1.TouchCricket 2.PathPix 3.S'em Words 4.PuzzleQuest Ch 1 + 2 5.Real Racing 6.Monkey Island 7.Frenzic 8.Drop7 9.KDice 10.WordJong 11.Pinball Fantasies/Dreams 12.tChess Pro
Well it is #10 on the list I actually didn't really like it at first but it started growing on me after awhile.
Not sure if these are all from this year but they are fun Moxie (great word game) racer (addictive with a great leaderboard, they should all have the sync function for global high scores) westbang (nice game) ragdoll blaster (what's not to like) Tiiled (fun little unheard of puzzle game) pathpix (just got it and it's fun) quick turn ( great for some quick fun) 312 jump (like doodle jump and has BT for multiplayer) Slapstar (so fun) double maze (another interesting puzzle game)
Nice thread! I agree with nearly everything on that list but I'm a curious on why you've added Metal Gear Solid Touch, I thought it was *VASTLY* overrated especially after playing Metal Gear Solid on my old N95 which is actually a proper 3D Metal Gear Solid game and not some jazzed up crappy shooting gallery.
