i will never get a mac..... over hyped, underpowered, overpriced. plus they dont let you build your own systems.....iphone and ipod touch are cool though....zune sucks
True. the computers are a close call and it rally does depend on what you are using it for. Also, I don't think that the Zunes are that bad, there pretty stylish and actually are very very nice devices.
iLaugh. Aside from that, I'm a Microsoft guy. I feel more comfortable around a PC because I know how to work one pretty well. Macs have their place; they're very protected, have a beautifully streamlined interface, and that 12-core Mac Pro is sure to be a powerhouse... But, as SJP so elegantly stated, Macs tend to be a little pricey to get that logo on the side. The iPod came around and smashed the MP3 market into oblivion, which I think was a good thing. Very user-friendly, easy to use, and lots of features that are certainly appealing. The Zune spent way too long playing catch-up, as is often the way of Microsoft tech, and the Zune HD didn't steal enough of the limelight from the iPod Touch.
so....just build a pc..you could get more than 12 cores and you could save LOTS of cash...for the PRICE..macs are underpowered
Hey, I totally agree. However, building your own takes experience, and handling all that hardware while arranging it so that it's just as streamlined as the Mac Pro can and would be a very tedious task. I'm just saying that for certain areas, such as graphic design and rendering, Macs overpower PCs at times.
just look at some videos.........i mean you could build a 24 core machine if you wanted.....and what do you mean by streamlined?
Although I use a PC, I am now thinking about getting a Mac. For the sake of simplicity. And especially now that Steam has made it's way to Mac.
