Please, let's not spread the hypocrisy now... Michael Jackson > Farrah Fawcett > my grandma > an homeless. That's just the nature; the more important you are, the more the people notice when you die. At the end of the life we are all same. It doesn't matter if you're Elvis Presley, John Lennon or my grandma. The people who loves you will remember you and keep you in their hearts. The ones who don't care just won't care. 99,9999999999999999999% of the people here are not going to get the cover of People when we'll die, but it doesn't make me feel useless. I bet Farrah Fawcett would understand it. I bet she wouldn't mind if Michael will get the cover of People next week. D.
And just the other week some of us were in the Lady Ga Ga Revenge thread discussing what band or artist would be better. Opinions depended on likes/dislikes in terms of music genres. Metal fans voted metal acts, pop fans pop acts, rap fans rap acts, etc. Then someone mentioned Michael Jackson. Pretty much everyone, from MJ fans to those other genre fans were in agreement. Metal fans, rap fans, etc. Everyone loved his music. MJ and rhythm action games fit like...well...they fit like a glove. Sad to see the guy die. Say what you will about the stuff that happened outside of the music, but the man was one of the more talented in the music industry.
Yeah, it's amazing. Almost everyone liked Mike's music. Thriller is the number one album of all time. The closest album, Back in Black, doesn't even reach half of it's sales. Ask anyone, they've listened to Thriller at least once. And if the music weren't enough to impress people, he was a god at dancing, too. It's when those allegations for child molesting broke out that things started to go downhill. Shame. Once you reach a certain point in the show business, even the tiniest tremor can set off an avalanche. I was looking forward to seeing him on tour. Well, not live, I wasn't fast enough to grab tickets, but still...
@learjetzoom It was Cardiac Arrest not a Heart Attack. In discussion I think he was gone prior to the paramedics arriving because during cardiac arrest it doesn't take long for the brain to stop functioning due to lack of blood and oxygen pumped from the Heart. He wasn't breathing during the 9-1-1 call nor responding to the C.P.R. performed and the time it took for the medics to get to the house was probably 5 to 10 minutes extra in which a defibrillator had to be used to shock the heart back into rhythm. chances of surviving are gone within three minutes if your lucky. I personally think the media was just trying to soften the blow with saying he was in a "coma". The ambulance wasn't in a hurry to the hospital after leaving the house and backing him into the building. I know from experience when a person passes prior to or while in an ambulance...the since of urgency is pretty much stopped. Regardless its very unfortunate and it hurts to hear but he is now in a better place where he doesn't have to suffer anymore physically and mentally. I pray for his family through these hard times. I have been a huge fan of M.J. and the Jackson 5 since i was born (even though he was over 25 at the time). his music has inspired me and touched my soul from day one. Lot of memories from his library of concerts, music, and videos. He was one of the main influences why i took up breakdancing, opened my mind to various genres of music, and took up various areas of music at an early age. Michael Jackson you will truly be missed and never forgotten. May you forever Rest in Peace.
He was THE most talented singer/dancer ever to live. I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise. Nobody has been more successful.
I expect to see a whole bunch of MJ memorial apps popping up on the app store soon. So who thinks this was a murder/manslaughter? I read that the doctor could of given him an overdose which could of lead to the cardiac arrest. But as CNN reported, we won't know for 6-8 weeks until the toxicology test results come in.
The guy was under a lot of stress to begin with. Debt, media glaring on his for the molesting accusations, pale skin, and surgery. Starting a new world tour for the first time in years. It's a lot to take in.
