They both cost the same, and I'm not spending too much this month so I'm only gonna buy one.

SMG2 looks just as good as the first game, but it's basically more of the same stuff. Bright and cheery, but I could probably just play the first game again since it's been a while.

MGS:pW easily looks like one of the best games on the PSP but I'm not sure how good the actual stealth is... I always preferred MGS 1 & 2 over the later games. Plus I found the aiming pretty difficult in the demo which distracted from the experience a little.

Undoubtedly MGS:pW. I just picked it up last night, and I don't regret the purchase one bit. Easily one of the best PSP games I've ever played, and I have a feeling it might be able to compete with Crisis Core.

The aiming starts off a bit hard to use, but you get used to it after a while. There's some aim assist, which can be a lifesaver in a game like this. There's a few different control schemes as well.

But when it comes down to content, I really can't find a portable game with more content than this game. It's so ridiculously in-depth. There's so much to do, and so many hidden secrets and unlockables to find. Definitely get Peace Walker.

Just to pick up on something, SMG2 is not simply more of the same. It is like saying the creative brilliance of Yoshi's Island looks to be more of the same as Super Mario World. There is more creativity in a single set of levels in SMG2 than there are in entire games. It really is like night and day compared to the first SMG.

Anyway, you really can't go wrong with either SMG2 or MGS5. I'm currently plugging MGS5, 55 hours in and I'm nowhere near done. It's certainly the best of the MGS series. If you have a PS3 you will be able to hook up your PSP to Ad-hoc party and play co-op online. Co-op is amazing, up there with Monster Hunter co-op.

Not to call you a liar or anything, but are there any videos which show just how different SMG2 really is? I've watched a couple of star walkthroughs and it didn't seem too outstanding to me, it could've been ripped straight from the first game.

Oh, and I have a PS3 but it's wireless, so no Ad-hoc Party for me.

Damn, you and Somerandomdude are going to make me buy Peacewalker -- I thought I was safe after finding the demo fairly unappealing.

You WILL buy Peace Walker. You can even play as Kojima and play in Monster Hunter levels (a couple of secret levels I think GDSage will enjoy). It's a HUGE game. HUGE.

Make that purcahse soon. This game is flat out insane! You can either go in using stealth or just run and gun. It's so... awesome. No other way to describe it. Simply put, you need this game.

I'd actually have to disagree. In certain levels, it is simply not possible to run and gun. You have to sneak through, tranquilizing and Fulton-ing enemies rather then getting their attention. Stealth is very key in this game

Indeed, actually the game encourages stealth, it rewards it. If you run and gun you will get a lower rank for that mission and thus not obtain specification docs for new items/equip/weaponry to develop.

Ranks for missions are based on time of completion, enemies killed and number of times discovered. In order to get an A or S rank (to unlock new docs) you need to keep the time as low as possible and the other two qualifiers at 0.
