I hope so, I am itching to play it. On the other hand, the more time they take the better it will be. Besides, I will be preoccupied with NOVA soon so maybe it is better if he takes the time to fine tune it even more
It's getting there. The design is much better, but I think a Metallic look/color like the original might be better. The best might be to have the option to customize our colors, but have a default design. Or have upgrades that change the aspect of the armor. But I think the customization might be the best idea. But like someone said earlier. I think the protagonist misses something that would make him look iconic, like Master Chief, Megaman, Samus, etc. Perhaps a logo, or a distinct color scheme.
Your game looks awesome! Looking forward to its release date. As a side note though, I understand what you mean about it being inspired by Metroid but I wouldn't harp too much on that so people don't end up comparing your game to it. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work and hope to see a thread w/your game in TA
this game looks great and shows what the iphone can do for indie devs. personally i really like the new look of the dude and that plant thing is spot on . maybe if people want something more iconic go for like an ice look or just something thats very different like metroid has his like blasty arm thing so maybe you should have a weapon or thing like that ? i dunno
Hello everyone, I'm one of the two people who got added to the team a while back. I'm here to handle anything related to graphics. We've been working hard for some time now to create a visual identity for the game. A lot has changed especially with the areas themselves. We've added more depth and detail to define and identify every room without any hit to the performance Alexander has worked so very hard to achieve. I'm not going to share any screenshots here today, but I have been listening to everyone's comments; taking them into account, something we'll continue to do while finishing this title. The input on this forum has been very helpful and encouraging. It helps knowing that all the work we're putting into this will be appreciated in the end. We want the next set of screenshots to be a good window into what the end result will look like, which requires some more work still. Now that I've met everyone I'll start posting about this project on twitter as well. So feel free to follow me there and I'll keep posting about the progress. (found in signature)
Hello there, I'm the other guy who joined the project. My main duties include audio, music and story related aspects of the game. I've been working on revamping and replacing the existing sounds and writing a new soundtrack - composed and recorded on the iPhone itself. Thanks to all who have shown interest - we're working hard to produce a game that will bring you back to the days of reverberated snares and 2-button controllers!
The critical path and core systems are complete. We're tightening up the sounds, visuals, story and gameplay. At this point in time, I believe a February/March release is more than hopeful.
