I've decide to move the release to next year. New team members have joined the team to drive art, sound and level design. The game has so much potential that it doesn't make sense to rush it, and I'm pretty sure the AppSotre will just be havok the next few weeks. We are still working full steam and can tell you, its looking great. Unity3D guys have released new versions of their engines that will allow better streamlined cooperation among team members and even better overall performance. As always, will keep posting new screenshots and videos. Cheers!
Thanks for the update rozgo. Game is coming along quite nicely. Personally I like the more shaded, brighter art style, but that's just me I guess. Looking forward to seeing more of this one!
Definitely a positive step than the previous screenshot. The colors and style are easier on the eyes.
The background and enemies look nice, the robot dude though....still looks bad. Color-wise only though, well also that little antenna. Is that really necessary? That's just one persons opinion though
We haven't decide yet, but you can be confident we will only go after ROI and enough to support updates and/or a new game. Our team is small (3 so far), so our costs will be lean and mean. If the game skyrockets you might see sales near $0.99-$1.99; and if it doesn't, you might see sales near $0.99-$1.99 to help it skyrocket
That looks SO MUCH BETTER than the previous screenshot. The older screenshot had too many bright colors
I agree with the general sentiment: the level design has taken a bit leap forward, but I think the main character needs to have a simpler color scheme. I think you should be going for something iconic -- almost like a logo for the game. Maybe something closer to the original design, but with simpler lines and more fluid movement. Personally, I think the plant creature is almost there.
We're gonna drive him crazy with all these revisions. Personally I think it's a step in the right direction, but the dull metal colours make it look like some old 80's arcade game next to Alien vs Predator. You have the detail right, just the colours could be a tad brighter to keep looking like some old port. Any video you could take of the current build? Doesn't have to be perfect, just that we might look at it differently in motion.
Agreed completely. Something always appeared off about the main character in all three revisions. There is definitely nothing "iconic" about the character, and an iconic character is key to a polished side scrolling and sometimes even tps and fps games. Consider meteriod series (best example) and even halo. The iconic figures are what sold the games (to some degree). I noticed in the early videos that the environment was kinda 2.5D and the character seemed very 2D. This was a bit awkward looking for me. Would there be any way to put the main character in the same 2.5D style? I really liked the backgrounds. I would really try to refine the main character as the player will have to be staring at him/her throughout the entire game. I am assuming that this is a fairly long game too. Great idea for this game anyway. Didn't even realize that the platform was missing one of these games, but now it seems so obvious.
New shots look amazing and much more vibrant than what was in the older videos. I can't believe you plan to release at such a low price point.
SHHHHH!!! I want to snag it at a low price while it is still trying to gain popularity. I am all for supporting the developers, but more through suggestions and promoting the game though word of mouth that paying premium prices.
