As far I can tell without the iap it's very similar to the first game. I can't tell for sure coz I didn't complete the previous one. The iap comes in coins. Basically they are for cheating. You can buy resurgents I.e elite solders that cannot die. They get hurt and rest in hospital. Or use the coins to purchase the stuffs u can create using buildings. You watch Ads for 50 coins each. They didn't change it to premium per se. This original game is dead pulled from the store. Another company took over and make it online and added the iap. As far as I can tell from their online chat most who are playing are Russians. Anyway if u like the game concept which I do every much, you can enjoy this is at a faster pace as well as it your own pace.
