Lukeb, the crazy insane gamer. Alright, since I'm currently addicted to this game I'll give it a go with some practice. The only problem is that I play too much survival and still suck at it.
I'm happy to hear that at least you might not be able to beat it. There are enough hardcore gamers with idevices to make Meteor Blitz very competitive for quite some time, and soon enough it will be be hard just to stay in the top 25-50. The only problem is getting them to believe it will be worth their time and money to try it out and get hooked on yet another thumb-bruising shooter, not to mention taking time away from console gaming. My main advantage is that I only game on the ipod touch and currently own no other gaming devices, so I'm familiar with practically every major idevice control scheme. As soon the players from cs_one, isotope, nanofighter, etc discover this game, my scores will be toast. I just bought this game as soon as it was released and put considerable time in already, not to mention all the hours spent on other shooters with similar controls, including geometry wars back when i had an xbox 360. I believe the background has some visual cues to indicate which world was beaten, but it's true these things can be faked and it should be clear whether we're going by an honor system or not. The game from which the above snapshot was taken ended up being 2.5 mill, which I submitted, so the devs might have some info in the database to verify my snapshot. In any case, world 3 gets substantially tougher the second time around it would be extremely difficult to beat it at 10x, though I'm sure people will do it. Already, a couple players posted 3+ million scores since last night, and someone got a whopping 170k in survival, which is astounding.
Yeah, I went to bed last night with #1 spot. I think that's the best game I've got in me, one of those games where everything just goes perfect Then I wake up this morn & the top score is almost double my best... People are getting good way to fast Oh well, now I've got a challenge!!
Couple of questions for ally labs... 1. If we post a score is it final, or can we go back & change it if we do better in another game? 2. Do we have to make it to the end of world 3? Say we die on 3-2 but have a really good score can we post it?? Thanks for the competition! Forget work this afternoon... The only thing I'm working on is a high score!!
My last attempt, unless the thumbs feel much better by sunday morning, when I think the contest will be over. Ouch. Total for this game ended up being 2.9 million.
Does wrapping even count? I thought it was against the contest rules. Or are you just showing off your amazing scores?
Wrapping doesn't count, so was good to remove it from the post in order to not confuse people new to this thread. The pic that remains is the end of world 3 first time around, 1.49 mill
Ok, I just got 1,537,222 end of world 3 (first time) & I'm with you Grub, my thumbs are shot!! I think I actually have a permanent dent in my left one I'll post a pic as soon as I can get to a computer!! Edit:
Hah, you guys counted me out... I got it and I'm coming for you all mohahaha edit: Actually I think I'm gonna pass.
I would love to try and win a promo for this game. I have been looking that the main thread and can see that this is a great game that I would love to review. But for other people, since to enter this contest, they already need to have the game, they probably dont even want to bother with it like jasonsmith. Although, they can win a promo for an upcoming alley labs game, So maybe they just dont think that they can make a good score? @Alley Labs, what can the people without the game do to get a promo?
Yeah, I see what you're saying. I just enjoy having the competition more than anything. Seeing how I don't really know anyone that plays games on there phone, if I win I was gonna give the promo code to someone on TA.
