We found and fixed the bug, and just finished submitting a new version (version 1.6) to Apple. My apologies again for all the trouble, and especially if you're currently stuck with a broken update! Hopefully the fix will be out soon.
how could you rate the game lower then 5 stars, yeah it was broken update but the game has been out for a long time even without the update it was always 5 stars, i dont understand rating a game on a broken patch that is plain dumb imo. the game has worked fine since its release one broken patch doesnt knock it down its the same game ffs.
you rock! and please either add gamecenter or open feint to this the game beckons for achievements and high score tables etc.

Just because u think it's worth 5 stars , doesn't mean everyone else thinks that ! I actually gave it less stars before the bug, as it was one of the only games left in my huge collection that remained in my 'non retina' folder. But now they have added retina I was about to put it back to 5 until the bug What kind of idiot gives 5 stars to a game that doesn't even bloody work !
it worked fine since it was released this one patch broke it. its a old game came out in 2009. its because non retina games look bad on the higher resolution retina display they appear fuzzy but thats not the devs fault thats apple. the game is without a doubt one of the best dual stick shooters period.
i agree that it is one of the best dual sticks out there.... but in its current state, it doesnt deserve 5 stars as it is broken... once the fix comes, the stars go back up.... A BROKEN GAME DOESNT DESERVE 5 STARS.... end of !!!!!! oh, and as for the retina issue... im not stupid, i know thats why its fuzzy, and i never had a problem with that, my problem was that over 300 of my iphone games have all received retina updates in the past, but meteor blitz had been left behind... thats why i had a problem with the lack of retina before... but they have added it now, so thats not an issue anymore.
any news on the update to fix it, been wanting to play this in the new retina more then the 3 levels!

Damn! I thought the patch fixing the previous broken update was out. Hopefully not long now. Devs submitted the corrected version late last week. Everyone was hoping the update will be expedited, but i guess we'll have to wait a few more days.

Apple just approved the update, and now we're just waiting for the App Store to update. This is always a bit stressful because we don't know for sure if this version of the game will work exactly the same as our development version (our previous update is proof of that!) YAY!!! I have a question regarding the rookie and pro-modes (those who are lucky not to be at work and can answer now): how are they distinguished in the game? is the current difficulty retained or is the game made easier for rookie and harder for pro?
The current difficulty is retained and is now the pro mode. Some players thought the game was too hard, so we added a rookie mode where your shield regenerates automatically after a few seconds after taking a hit. And in rookie mode, you're not allowed to post high scores.
I can't stop playing. the game looks amazing. The world below looks top notch. This looks and plays better than most new games. Thank you!!!
Yep, it's one DSS that got it all right from the beginning. Really hoping GameCenter will be incorporated someday. For high score based games in the present, I think GameCenter is a must. Either way, tried it for the first time in a year and a half today to check out the retina. It looks awesome.
