I actually like all CoB, whether it be Pre or Post Are You Dead Yet. I was just listening to Are You Dead Yet? (the song) and remembered how much I used to love and and how awesome it still is. And I can't blame you one bit for that... It's crazy stuff, but it all comes together so well that it just... works. Amazing stuff. I know I've posted this band here before, but they're just incredible:
Yeah, the song I posted was quite inssne, but that's what I like about those guys. :x CoB wasn't good. Ever. Warmen was quite fun tho. BtBaM is... not my thing. : D
If it's the vocals in BtBaM that you don't like, go to part 2 and skip to about 2:55. It's one huge guitar solo from there on out, so definitely worth listening to.
Don't get me wrong, Are You Dead Yet? had some great songs (Trashed, Lost and Strung Out being one of my top favourite CoB songs) it just wasn't as good as previous work, and Blood Drunk was a huge disappointment to me. Not looking forward to their new album coming in march (I think) very much. And BtBaM is awesome, or at least "Colours" is. I loved that album so much, but ironically, I can't get into any of their other albums LOL. Yes, CoB was very good. Especially Follow the Reaper/Hatebreeder days. Top Notch f*cking music right there. Every member of that band is crazy talented. And Laiho's Guitar Wankery with Wirman's awesome key skills makes for very fascinating music.
Not even The Great Misdirect? Sure it wasn't as good as Colors (then again, nothing aside from Waking the Fallen is), but it's still an amazing album and pretty similar to Colors. I can't blame you with their earlier stuff though... Great stuff, but not anywhere near their last 2 albums.
The Great Misdirect wasn't bad. I just couldn't get into it like I did with Colours. But it has some good songs. I just really liked Colours a lot hahaha. Everything else though was definitely not for me.

Yes it does. -.- Yeah I mean if you can get past the vocals they are amazing. I like the vocals too but I know you don't dig on growls. Sunday I will, but not Saturday. Moving stuff out of our storage shed into our back yard storage area so we have one less thing to pay which is nice. ALSO: I'm getting my net back at my house very soon. Like next week soon. So that'll be nice and easier to post on the weekends so I don't have to go to my grandma-in-law's. Huzzah!

Good shit here man. Long and arduous. And at the same time, too short and not enough time to relax. Saturday I had to move my shit out of a storage unit into an apartment in the backyard of our house so we didn't have to pay a storage fee anymore. Then after I got done with all that crap, I had to install a new toilet in my aunt's house. Then Sunday I had to go shopping for new pants then came home and watched the godforsaken Super Bowl. You?
Did absolutely nothing, which was fun. : D New album came out from Dalriada. Just awesome. Hungarian folk music mixed with power, prog, black and symphonic metal is really unique. : D Also, do you know the band Kivimetsän Druidi?

I did show you Dalriada before, you liked 'em. Still, check it out! Kivimetsän Druidi is... symphonic folkmetal with tons of death/melodeath influence. If that sounds fun to you, go for it. :>
Yeah I checked em out on Youtube and they sounded familiar after that. Really good stuff. Can't understand what the devil they are saying but I have been really into metal bands that use woodwinds in their music *cough* Eluveitie *cough* ^.^ And yes that sounds like immense fun to me ahhaahaha checking them out now.
: DDD Yeah, they are somewhat similar to Eluveitie, but Dalriada has more female vocals, some clean male and some prog/power influences. So, what do you think?
