Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted anything here.

Either way, I need some good kinda pump-up, celebration, upbeat, etc. stuff. If all goes well, tomorrow should be the best day ever, and I need some good stuff. I'd post examples but I'm typing this from my iPod, so no can do.

Also, I checked out Sonic Syndicate, and it's some pretty sick stuff! Sounds a lot like Periphery.

Good to see you here again!

Can't really help with that though. I very rarely listen to upbeat stuff nowadays.

Haha yeah man, I love this thread... It's a shame I haven't been around in a while, although I'm pretty sure I've mentioned all the little known stuff I've heard. I'll see what I can contribute when I get on my computer.

Yeah... It's been way too long though. I've been having girl probs and stuff, and I usually just go on xbox live to get my mind off of things and talk about it with my friends using Facebook on my iPod, which is why I haven't been here. Hopefully that'll all come to an end tomorrow though, which is why I'm looking for that music :D. I'll give the songs a shot and get back to you on how they sound.

EDIT: Just checked out Light the Sky and I'm loving it, even though it's not exactly what I was looking for. Embody the Invisible is much more of what I was looking for, and I've loved that song since hearing it on Tony Hawk's Underground years back. I either have to listen to that song or Authority Zero whenever I'm playing through the last mission.

Here's the kind of stuff I'm looking for:

Well, those last 3 aren't exactly metal, but they're what I use when I'm getting pumped up and need to celebrate over something. So anything along those lines would be great.

Umm instesting songs there, Alestorm really surprised me in there. : D

Would some good powermetal do the job?

Haha, gotta love Alestorm. But yeah, I like myself some good power metal from time to time. Hit me up with some suggestions and I'll let you know how they sound.

Again, really good stuff, but it's not exactly what I was looking for. Here's some more stuff like what I'm looking for (although not so sure how much you guys would like some of it):

Again, Zebrahead, The Bouncing Souls, and The Offspring certainly aren't metal, but those songs fit the type of stuff I'm looking for.

Haha, I'm not shocked at all. What song did you get to before giving up? It changes quite a bit at the end there, although I'm pretty sure that stuff isn't your style at all either. The only one there I think you might like is the Black Tide song.

Yeah, that wasn't bad, the Swashbuckle was enjoyable too, didn't listen to any in full length tho.

Dude those Bal-Sagoth songs were really awesome, though I liked the first one a little more than the second one hahaha. They were both cool. Fantasy Black Metal ftw.

Laibach, however, is probably one of the worst things to come out of Germany. Ever. hahahahaahaha jk more or less. But that song was goofy as shit.

Katatonia however, I am not much of a fan of. I can dig some of their stuff, but wouldn't really listen to it on a regular basis.

I edited my last post with an In Extremo song. They have a video for it but the only one on YouTube never seems to load properly for me.

Bal Sagoth is really fun. Yeah Laibach you either like them or hate them. I like a few of their songs.

Here are a few more for you.

Theatre of Tragedy (old stuff with Liv Kristine before she headed off for Leaves' Eyes and her solo work)

    Earlier post links:
    - Bal Sagoth: vocals totally ruined it for me
    - Laibach: maybe the worst thing I've ever heard (within metal)
    - Katatonia: quite good, nice atmosphere
    - In Extremo: not the kind of folkmetal I like

haha... maybe I should have played the cute kitty version instead.

Laibach is a real artsy group though, like I said people love them or hate them. I personally wouldn't buy their cd but I do like some of their videos or live shows. I'm just throwing things out there that might not have been mentioned yet. ;)

Yeah, I get it. It's just that industrial metal is an awful genre, and this is a crappy song even within that. Seriously, that was pure torture. : D

What kinds of stuff do you like btw?

I enjoy most types of metal. The thing that often kills it for me is crappy vocals but sometimes I can even forgive that if they are cheesy enough to go along with great metal like Bal Sagoth for instance.

Chances are if it is metal I will give it a try. ;)
