    Ahh, hell.
You might want to try Pandora radio (Pandora.com), no downloads there.

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Yeah, but that hip-hop stuff doesn't compare to the awesomeness of metal, right?

Also, that first song was supposed to be Trigger. I screwed up trying to copy the link... My bad.

Checking those songs out now. I'll get back to you once I've heard them.

Oh yeah definitely, metal cannot be topped. It's my favourite genre of music, I just have other tastes too. Just nothing that can beat it.

Trigger is an awesome song. That whole album (Reroute to Remain) is one o fmy favourites, and was pretty much the start of their newer sound. I love old In Flames much more than newer In Flames but I still love it to death, let me know what you think of those songs. Try the album "Soundtrack to Your Escape" too. That's a good newer one.

To me modern metal begins and ends with the Melvins. Their last three albums are amazing:

    (a) Senile Animal
    Nude With Boots
    The Bride Screamed Murder

I'm admittedly not a huge metal guy, but when I do listen to it, the Melvins are top of the heap.

Also, not sure if they're really "metal" or not, but to me one of the top three bands ever is Killing Joke. The newest, "Absolute Dissent" is ridiculous. Album of the year for me.

@sizzlakalonji: Checked out that too, again nothin' for me.
And for me, the best album of the year must be Star One - Victims of the Modern Age. It's pure genius.

    My favourite Porcupine Tree song:

I loved Deadwing, that album is awesome.

Also, that Star One album was really really good too. I really liked it.

I love the first 3 bands but I havn't heard of the others. Especially Fairyland, doesn't get much more metal with a name like that. LOL

Haha, bit weird name for a metal band, but it's some excellent symphonic power metal. : D

EDIT: You really don't know Shadow Gallery?! Shame on you!
