First one is quite good, too simple for me though.

I already know Dark Moor, not bad, but I'm not a fan of the vocalist.

Yeah, Ulver is worth checking out. Early stuff is folkish black metal, later is minimal/ambient/experimental. : D I don't really like it but you probably will.

Yeah very simple but keeps it metal \m/

I like what little I have from Dark Moor. But yeah the vocalist can get a little irritating for me.

I will check them out then. Sounds very interesting and quite a change in music LOL

    Heard of these guys?

Yeah Dragonland is awesome. Thought we had talked about em before but couldn't remember.

Ulver's early stuff is really good. Good folkish stuff. However their latter stuff is a little TOO on the ambient side for me. It's good, I just would have to be in the mood for it. Like I said though, early stuff is really nice sounding.

Interesting question, but what's your favourite Opeth Album? And what did you think of Watershed in comparrison to earlier releases?

Meh, early stuff is too blackish, later is too ambientish for me, still, enjoyable. : D

Damnation, no doubt. Second one is Blackwater Park. Watershed is weaker, a lil' more commercial, but still good.

I should have guessed that ^.^

Yeah BWP is my favourite for sure. Watershed was interesting for me. Like... I dont know. I guess it was the commercial value of it that made me ALMOST not like it, yet I still loved it. I was just curious on your take on it. I love Hessian Peel. One of my favourite Opeth songs.

Check these guys out. ****in weird LOL

    Edit: DING! 3,000th post!

Was fun until the growls came in. : D

It still didn't come close to Damnation or any other. : D

I heard that shit and I was like "Wait a second... growling... really?" hahahaha. Never thought growling wouldn't belong so much.

Yeah it doesn't even compare. Though I am excited for their newest release this year. hope it's good. Would hate to see them tank as well.

Meh, I'll listen to it, but no Opeth albums were in the 'buy' category for me. : D

Yeah, quite good song. Quality is really awful.

I've actually purchased Opeth albums before. You know I really like a band or an album when I actually buy it. Then again I used to be all about buying albums. I never liked MP3 players. Then I got sucked into the iPod touch and it all fell apart from there. I've always been acustomed to ripping songs and burning CD's but now that downloading entire albums is so accessable, and now that I am blatantly poor, downloading is the way to go. LOL

Yeah that quality was bad but yeah. Gott find other stuff for you.

Nah, it's that I'm tired a lot lately.

    I'll check it out soon.

Meanwhile, listen to Townsend's Earth Day, so insanely powerful.

I hear that. lol. It's a nice calm song, with great piano. You'll do good to listen to it before bedtime. lol

Listening now. The only thing I don't like about it so far are the drum sounds. The drums just sound weird. Not the way he is playing, just the sound of the set itself.

Nah, no idea why you think there's a problem with the drums. : D

Anyway, Devin is awesome. I can't believe your wife doesn't like him.

I think it may be some baised towards him because she had a BF that always listened to him and he was terrible to her. She hates a few bands because of that reason. But I am sure it also has to do with his music, it's definitely not for everyone lol. But yeah like I said, some biased there.
