Well I mean, look at the bass in Opeth. It has a perfect sound to it and goes quite well. They impliment bass in thier music perfectly.

I think so... Name sounds familiar. Sure it's a band my buddy listens to. Prog Rock?

Prog metal. Quite good too, with sadly some electronic influences.

Electronic influences ftw. I will have to look more into them. Sounds like fun for me ^.^

What do you like about electric influences? It's fun in The Gathering, not elsewhere.

Well you are talking to a guy who really likes Electronics. Keys and samples and all that mess. I mean I love Techno, House, Trance, and Ambient Tech stuff, so with that mixed in Metal (even Industrial stuff) and progressive stuff, it stiffens my dick even more. I really like to explore with music on that aspect. Perfect 2 examples of great mixes of them.

Meh, I think Techno/House/Trance and stuff like that are just crappy noise for me. Even actual Noise music is a lot more enjoyable. I love ambient elements though.

To each his own for sure ^.^ I grew up with one of my favourite bands of all time, Depeche Mode (actually one of the first bands I EVER got in to), and they had a lot of intremental and electronic influences in their music. I am sure you have heard them but I doubt you are a fan in the least. hahahaah

I think one of the big reasons I fell in love with in Flames so much is cause they did such an awesome and interesting cover of one of my favourite songs from DM.

What song would that happen to be if I may ask ^.^

But yeah. I have several bands that i grew up with that heavily influence what I listen to today I realized.

On another note, new DevilDriver song leaked. I am not impressed. It's not terrible, and Dez's vocals are on track, but I just don't know what to think of the music.

    Not for @Balu` LOL

No I cannot say I have heard anything from them. Or heard of them for that matter. Worth checking out? Album suggestions?

Sorry, I was gettin to this thread. Had to catch up on all the shit I've missed. Been out sick the passed few days and have only gotten to check 0out and post a little bit.

I really liked that song though. Very interesting. Cool keys and effects. Vocals were interesting as well... sounds almost familiar too.

As for Riverside, checked out most of their songs from that album and it was pretty good. Not too bad. ^.^

    Ah, are you better now?

You could've heard him in OSI. Also, he is the ex-keyboardist of Dream Theater. :>

I really like 'em. Not in Shadow Gallery/Ayreon league, but great new stuff.

Not really. I just need to be at work so I am here anyways. I'll get better eventually. Hoping to plague everyone with my sickness. LOL jk.

Oh that's pretty awesome. I often wondered if that dude did anything else with himself. Pretty cool stuff, I will have to check out more.
