Any kind of music? Hmm, I'm enjoying the album Souvenirs by The Gathering, but you'd probably hate it, so how about Turisas? Folkish powerish etcish metal, notbad at all.

No idea, I can only hope. Nothing about it in the Google Groups page.

Well, I didn't mean ANY kind of music (although I knew someone would get me on that as soon as I hit the Submit Reply button)... But any sort of good metal should do.

And yeah, even if we don't get codes it's all good. I got to play the game waayyyy before it came out, and it's on my resume of beta testing now, which is going to look GREAT on there.

Looking more lyrics wise than anything, and I have plenty of screaming (BFMV, ABR, etc) I just feel like they would definitely take that the wrong way no matter the lyrics. At least if I can't get them to like anything I'll be away in college next year and won't have to worry what they think. ;)

You're a senior and you're still trying to convince your parents to listen to your music? Dude, just listen to it! What's the worst they can do? I take crap all the time from my parents about how "crappy" or "demonic" or "talentless" all of it is, but as annoying as it gets, it's not like they're outright restricting me from listening to it. But if they are, I might as well try to help out the best I can.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I haven't posted that counts as metal really... How'd that stuff go over with your parents?

I will never forgot the day my mum was in the car with me and I was listening to some old Deicide, and she said "This music is rediculous and takes no talent at all." and I said "Oh yeah? gimme your best death metal growl. Come on prove me wrong!" and she did this terrible ****ing yelp (sounded like a cry for help) immitating Glenn Benton's vocals and it was the god damn funniest thing I have ever heard.

I had actually wanted to give it to them as a christmas present, so I wanted to find some stuff that they may like. Trust me, I don't give a **** what they think when it comes to whether I'll listen to my music, I just want them to hear it's not as "gruesome" as they seem to think it is, so my mom can stop saying that I'm going to do another columbine or become a serial killer . And yet they had no problem with me listening to rap for several months before I first heard "one" by metallica; because we all know rap is known for clean content lyrics

Yeah, I've been tempted to do the same to my mom next time she says that, yet I think she'd either A.) Sound like a dying cat being run over by a tractor-trailer or B.) Laugh condescendingly more than she was to begin with. She once was like "If it takes talent, then you go ahead and do it!" and I almost did, but then thought of the sort of awkward situation that'd create, so I just decided to start ignoring at that point.

Oh.. nevermind then haha. I thought you were just giving in there for a few. Yeah, I know the feeling completely. It's some real talented stuff sometimes (there's a lot of crap out there though, some of which I listen to as well), but they just don't get it and think I'm "stupid" or "brainwashed" for listening to it and seeing the talent. I've just started to not care about their opinion whatsoever, seeing as my mom and sister are always listening to the local hip-hop station which plays the crappy mainstream stuff (not like there's much good hip hop out there... actually, there's probably like 2 or so songs I can stand), but still... They really don't know talent sometimes.

Oooo I liked that. Vocalist was a little iffy but the music was really good. Going to have to look up more stuff from them.

    Here's some good stuff.

Not bad, but a lil' poppy song I think.

BTW: The 4th gen Touch isn't bad. Don't see the point of facetime tho.

Yeah that band is really poppy. Especially this one, but still good:

Hey you got one?! That's awesome!

FaceTime is really awkward, even with close friends. But it's pretty cool though. Not much of a point to it other than it acts like a free phone call. I use it to call my friend in Cali all the time. Plus it's how he got to meet my son. I dunno. I like it but I don't use it much. Other than friends I FaceTime Foozelz (From here on TA).
