Dark Tranquility are my favourite band recently. Listen to Misery's Crown, The Wonders At Your Feet and Focus Shift (and The Mundane and the Magic) for some awesome death metal.
I'm sure that would be because Dark Traq kicks major f*cking ass. lol I have to say though, song's like Misery's Crown don't get me excited for Dark Tranquility. I never did like his clean vocals at all. Fiction and Haven being my least 2 favourite albums from them. Though Focus Shift was a good song. I just didn't like how they strayed away from Melodeath sound and kind of went to electronic, almost doom metal-like. Still a great band but The Mind's I, Character, Projector and The Gallery are still my favs. I still admittedly havn't heard their new album they released this year. I am scared >.< But I am going to take a listen to it soon. Honestly, I kind of forgot about it. If you like Dark Tranquility a lot, check this band out. They are just as good, if not better (sad to say, as DT used to be one of my favourite bands of all time till their recent stuff)
Thanks... I'm hoping it does too. Just things aren't going the way I want. At all. Important things. REALLY important things. Ah well, that music is pretty sick. Need some good bummed out music too, to compliment my mood as well. As you can tell, I'm not exactly having a good day.
meh, I prefer their recent stuff + the Gallery to their older stuff. And a word of advice - avoid the new album, I can guarantee you'll be disappointed. EDIT: I had a list of good songs but realised DT have probably the best library of songs as virtually everything is at least good, with most great. Except from the first and last albums.
Well folks I have to say, Blind Guardian was one of the most stellar shows I have ever seen. They were absolutely hilarious, cracking on themselves for being so old, making fun of each other for getting so drunk the night before. Making fun of Hansi's new little ponytail cause he cut most of his hair off. It was great. Had a great setlist but unfortunately I wasn't able to stay the whole show. Right as they started my wife called me to tell me she was taking my son to the ER because he was running a 102 degree fever so I left to go meet them there, but I stayed for about 5-6 songs. Wish I could have seen the whole thing man. I took videos on my iPod but it was such a loud set that the sound quality was miserable when the drums kicked in. Great shit otherwise though.
Yeah my son is doing a little better. Kinda sucked though this weekend he got like no sleep what-so-ever... so needless to say my wife and I are freaking exhausted. Dude that was weird but awesome. I love germans! hahahaah. That was like a German Mr. Bungle. I really liked it.

Hell yeah dude it was pretty cool. All the vocalists sounded like they were dying from aids or something but other than that it still sounded awesome hahaha Hey that was pretty good I liked that too. Seemed kinda too short though for some reason.
Well I do love me some weird music. I havn't really looked into any new bands unfortunately. Been wayyy to busy, and my net is shut off at home now so I really don't have much. lol.
I'm generally very bored, so I have lots of time for searching bands. : DD Any idea when you're getting net back at home?

Anyone got any good songs I'd like? I need some new music... Getting a bit tired of listening to the same bands over and over. I'm up for anything at all right now, whether it be depressing, happy, or somewhere in the middle. As long as it's good, I'm good.

Most of the stuff I feel like listening to right now you'd hate for the vocals mostly, but hit me up with anything good you can think of right now and I'll let you know what I like. And I'll check out that album right now. I'm checking out one of the songs right now (forgot the name and too lazy to check), but it's pretty sick right now. EDIT: Just checked out I Need You off that album, and I'm loving it so far. Anything like that would be awesome.

Oh crap... I haven't heard Norther in a long time... TIME FOR SOME NORTHER Haha... I haven't heard this song since back in the day when Hybrid 1 was still in the works... A Fallen Star was the song they used for the trailer and I was hooked on both that song and that game for the longest time
