That is some sick stuff right there... Gotta love that. Btw, I need some good pump-up stuff... Something for an awesome day. Something along the lines of this: Merry Christmas!
In response to the Bury Your Dead song, hahahaha @Balu` not at the moment but I shall find you something lol.
That Fear Factory song is pretty epic, but a bit downbeat for what I'm looking for. I need something that just makes you want to get up and kick the crap out of someone. Another example that you posted before: @Balu': That song was EPIICCC!!! Sick stuff.
Ahh you like Parkway Drive eh? F*cking amazing band. Try these: @Balu` I hope to god they play Precious Jerusalem live.
The only band up there I hadn't heard yet was Earth Crisis, and it blew my mind! Niiiice picks man!! I can't think of anything that particularly fits into what you posted so I'll just post some crap of my own. I know you've probably all heard Avenged Sevenfold before (And if you haven't, don't even bother talking to me), but I figured I'd post one of their best (if not the best... Close tie with MIA for me) songs from their old album, which was more of a metal album than anything.
Nice picks yourself man! I have to say about A7x though, that album was my favourite. That and their first one (StST, more of a punk album) are the only ones I really liked to be honest. Theres a few good songs from their albums here and there (Like MIA and God Hates Us) that I love but for the most part they got meh since M. Shadows couldn't scream much anymore. Here's my favourite A7x song: I still jam on this song to warm up guitaring every now and then.
Ahh... I love that song so much. Aside from Remenissions, I can't really pick a favorite off that album. Every single song blew my mind like never before, and it's just the epitome of the perfect album (for me at least). I guess if I had to pick another favorite, it'd be: Their self-titled album and City of Evil were pretty incredible too, but nothing matched up to Waking the Fallen, and I don't think anything ever will.
I was so stoked for City of Evil. I remember picking it up and driving to a show we were going to play at. I was even openminded about him not screaming much anymore. Popped it in my friends CD playin in his Jeep and was like "Ugh... I guess I can get used to this...". Listened to it all, thought it was ok. Then gave it another listen and was just like meh... lol. I was pretty stoked for Nightmare, and while it had its great songs it was ultimately a failure. My problem is yeah, I hold their albums up to the standard of Waking the Fallen, and I really shouldn't because that album will never be beat. I dunno... I'm weird. lol
Hahaha, I can't blame you one bit. Then again, if you try to compare anything to Waking the Fallen you'll just come to hate music. It's that incredible. I personally loved all of their albums (although I didn't think them trying punk was such a great idea, as much as I love the genre), but City of Evil just isn't as good, even though it was pretty sick. I haven't finished the self-titled album or Nightmare yet, but I'm going to get around to it soon. I'll just make up a playlist for both on Youtube while I'm still thinking of it.
hahaahah agreed. Yeah gave all their albums once overs but never grew fond of the latter stuff. Ohh well. Im really digging this Nightrage band that I found earlier today. Their stuff is really really good.
City of Evil is the only one I can listen to. It actually sounds different with the 80s style throwbacks and whatnot... as soon as they resume their normal sound I'm like, yup, typical generic metal band.
Cannot go wrong with teh Pink Floyd. They were truely ahead of their time. One of my favourite bands of all time.
Agreed, they were a great band, though I have to be in the mood for that too. I think nowadays there are only a few bands I like no matter what mood I'm in.
I'm right there with you. Melodeath is the only genre of music I can listen to at any point in time. Speaking of... I have been literally hooked on this f*cking band.
Meh, nothin' for me. Melodeath is stuff that makes me sad. When I hear a song, I think 'this would've been an amazing power/speed metal song', then the harsh vocals start. : DDD
