Just finished my review on Cattle Decapitation's The Harvest Floor. Let me know what you think http://flappypaddles.tumblr.com/post/2129397148/something-different-album-review-the-harvest-floor
Nice review! I'm going to have to check it out. Havn't gotten it yet. Here's some interesting metal for the screaming crowd. The quality sucks but this was the band I was in that I recently took a pass on. Great music, just had no time to keep up with them.
Wasn't bad. Kind of not for my mood this morning as I have been listening to NiME from BG all morning. 3 More days!!!!
I'm jealous. And I hate my luck. In the spring the 'Power of Metal' tour will come to Budapest (where I live), but on a monday. Bah, so much for seeing Symphony X, Nevermore and Psychotic Waltz.
Ouch. I hate it when concerts come on days I have to work. I have to rush out and make it over all quick and end up missing the first act. In the case of the BG concert though, I don't really care if I miss either of the first 2 acts. lol. Can't wait for a concert tee too. I have a shirt from almost every concert I've been too. Needless to say, I have a f*ckload of In Flames shirts.
I guess you'll have fun at the BG concert, but why don't you care about missing the other two? Some brilliant but weird music.
The other bands just seem kinda meh to me. I'm still going to check them out. Theres always those bands that don't sound great on album but put on a great live performance. I'm just not expecting much, especially in the wake of the mighty BG.
Yeah Savoir Machine is pretty bitchin. I had a friend who was really into that stuff. The Trilogy albums are really good I must say. I just think the singer wants to be David Bowie so bad it's funny lol.
Doubt that, the singer has an amazing voice, especially on Ayreon's Human Equation. I guess you don't share my love of symphonic folk doom metal? : D
His voice is amazing no doubt about that at all, and he was even greater in the human equation. I loved it. But even in there, it still sounded like some Bowie influence. It's not a bad thing having influence, and especially from someone as rad of a singer as Bowie, but like I said. When I close my eyes and picture the vocals of Savior Machine I just see Bowie. LMAO. (the name Savior Machine did come from a Bowie song after all) It's cool, just not my total style of music. Sounds great (especially the beautifully crafted Piano) I just have to be in the mood for it.
: DDDD Anyway, yea, you have to be in the mood for it, but the second Estatic Fear album is brilliant.
Man just discovered this little gem of a band. Can't believe I've never heard of them. This is extremely good Melodeath (sorry Balu` =P)
