Yeah, I wish more bands would do this stuff.

But well, at least we have symphonic metal.

Speaking of Symphonic Metal, here's a band with an interesting blend of Symph And Melodeath. Completely forgot about these guys.

That last song is particularly epic as shit. Makes ordinary tasks like eating cereal, entering data, or taking a shit epic as hell!

Yeah I used to listen to them in their early days when they were a bit more thrashy than anything. Just caught up with their album they released last year. Pretty good shit.

    I don't like it. : D

It's weird, that there are subgenres within metal which I love and ones I hate. Like, I love power/prog/symphonic metal, like folk and more classic heavy, but I'm on the fence about speed metal, dislike melodeath, thrash and death and absolutely hate black metal.
    Truly weird.

    EDIT:
I didn't know either. First one was okay, singer isn't good. He sounds like a crappy Russell Allen.
Second one not so special, bad thing was that the instruments were too loud/singer to quiet.

Yeah I can at least find one band in all genres of metal (for the most part) that I can dig on. I am too particular about my black metal though. Pretty much the only band I can really get into is Cradle of Filth, and I kinda grew up with them. But hate 99% of the bands that are classified as Black Metal or even "Doom" Metal.

Doom is pretty much crap too, but black metal is simply ridiculous, I mean just look at the members of Dimmu Borgir.

Oh yeah dude, Dimmu Borgir is the pinacle of f*cking rediculous. Me and my wife make fun of the pronounciation of that band name with "Demi Moore's Brazier" or "Dim-mu Burger". hahahaahahah they f*cking suck.

    Check this band out though

His vocals are... too agressive for my taste.

Yeah I think that's why I like em. How on earth do you like Hansi's vocals?! I mean sure he produces some of the sweetest clean vocals but the mojority of his singing is pretty agressive too. lol

Amazing range, his vocals fit the music and I love how most Germans pronounce stuff. : D

No doubt about any of that. It's just weird that you like them that's all, considering you seem to be more into Timo-style vocals. And don't get my started on how you like Opeth, other than they are amazing

hahahaha ohh well. To each his own. I just happen to like too many styles of music it hurts my head.

Speaking of, finished my intro instrumental song for my solo album I am creating. One of my biggest problems, is as I am writing the song out and calculating what would be good next, it all sounds amazing. Then I play the whole song over and over as a whole, and then for some reason I don't like it. I've hit that wall with this song. It just seems to be too... awkward and have too many blends of music. It's nothing professional and I am not in the mindset that it should sound like this amazing gift to earth or anything at all, I just want it to be fun. And it is fun, but yeah like I said. I hit that wall where I am starting not to like it.

I like... many kind of vocals. But my top 5 is Timo K, Mathias Blad, Hansi, Damian Wilson, and an ever changing one, right now Russell Allen.

Just send me that song! : D

I will when I finally get it recorded on my god forsaken computer. I miss it so much =( just found out that my little brother has a laptop cord that would power mine though, so I am thinking about borrowing it for a recording session so I can throw it on soundcloud and share.

Yeah and it may not be your particular style but at least I can get an honest opinion on it. I played it for my wife and she loved it, but then again it's my wife. She may just not want to hurt my feelings LOL. It's about 5:12 long so not too long not to short.
