I'll check this stuff out tomorrow. :> Also, let's hope Booch comes back, he's a huge Opeth fan. I like them too, but I prefer Dan Swanö's approach to progdeath. Meh, it's just my opinion, but being elitist about music isn't a great thing. I don't really care how high quality music a band makes as long as I enjoy it. Only because I find stuff that I like more, the other songs don't get worse. But at least give it a shot and write some short opinion! :c (and be glad I don't show you weirder stuff )
No reply in a week.. alright, bumpin' time. How do you like this? (I'm only showing it, cause there's some core-ish influence there, especially in vocals) Ah, and this post was mostly @gunxsword
Can't say I enjoyed that... It's quite, chuggy and I don't like them in heavy doses. Also, it sounds remarkably similar to new-Converge song played at half speed. Anyway, I've got mid year test next week so I haven't been doing much of anything for the past week . I'll have to remain silent until the end of Friday next week (Thursday for you). I have been enjoying some new music though, but I dunno what genre it falls into: The vocalist sounds better than she looks (no sarcasm intended).
Desdemon - Through the Gates (Progressive Symphonic Metal) Vocalist sounds like Nightwish with a more operatic voice. Everything else sounds METAL and AWESOME. Btw what's with the silence???
I'll check that out, I guess. :X the stuff you posted in your pervious post, was, well, weird. Especially the first one, I have no idea what to call that. :Đ The second one was just a bit repetetive. If you are open to new stuff, check this out: The original is much longer and different, but this acoustic version is amazing.
Not showing any love for that song... FINALLY TESTS ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!! TIME TO RELAX (for a few days before burning out again )
How can on not love that? :Đ Good for you! :> What year are you in, by the way? Some avant-garde metal maybe?
A bit... slow... and... proggy... 12 HMMMMMMMM... I actually like the style! Sounds pretty good, except the LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA bit.
Haha, that's part of why it's awesome. ^^ What sort of tests were they? Just curious, because the educational system here is totally different. YAY! Finally something you like. Their songs are pretty fun, here's another, cleaner but I like it more:
Test condition tests. 2 seen essays with 1k words each (Legal and Business) and 2 English essays with unseen questions. Plus a 1.5k word essay for history. The worst part of it all was that I had legal on the day before one of the English tests and business. It was hard to remember 2 essays word for word and quotes for English . Strapping sounds pretty good! However, it's not the type of song I'd keep in my library...
Wow, that sounds rough... Especially with them so close to each other. I'm so thankful we don't have such an insane amount of essays here, they aren't really my strong suit. Well, that's something. How come you wouldn't, though?
I'll give you some more stuff from them, but doing so from my phone isn't tok easy. If you don't particularly dislike insanely pissed-off stuff, try the songs Shitstorm and All Hail The New Flash. If you listen to them, post your opinions, cause I won't be herd until tomorrow, since it'a sleeping time for me.
Shitstorm is o.k... but All Hail The New Flash is boring. I found the the riffing to be too repetitive. You heard of Amaran?
Don't like Sonata Arctica's vocals. Ancient Bards is great, love Valiant Ride from the same album. Dunno why, but some power sound extremely boring to me while the more 'generic' ones (with mad RIFFS) are pleasant.
Aw, Sonata's vocalist is great! Our opinions are pretty much the opposite, I need creativity in my metal. :Đ How do you like this?
The lead singer's voice has a constant high pitch backing it, and that makes it sound somewhat... you know? Hm... true true. I have high resilience against repetition and I care about quantity as much as quality, even if certain songs/bands sound similar. Creativity can take the back seat to 'fun' metal in my library . Yup pretty good. Guess I'll need to check them out! What albums?
