Yeah... that is one epic video. I laughed through the whole song and broke down at the end with Keyboard Cat.
Let me share with you my relationship with Atreyu. Atreyu unfortunately is just one of those bands I am ashmed to admit I ever listened to. I still listen to, very often mind you, Suicide Notes and Butterfly kisses. When that album came out when I was younger I was all about that shit. I loved the dual guitaring, I loved the terribly awful, makes me want to throw up vocals, I loved the awesome drumming. Everything about it. Then the Curse came out... and I thought to myself... well this isn't bad but it's a step in a different direction. Maybe they will just get harder or something. Then a Death-Grip came out... and I felt the spark for atreyu disappearing quickly. A few good songs, but again, nothing like Suicide Notes. Then, to my dismay I heard "Becoming the Bull" on the f*cking radio... and wanted to blow my brains out. They just became another radio friendly piece of f*ck band out there. Don't get me wrong, I still gave the entire latter cd's a listen to in hopes for decent songs. But alas... nothing has been found. Suicide Notes will always be one of my favourite albums of all time... but as far as anything after The Curse... I am scared to even admit I listened to them lol. Sorry felt like sharing that because I used to be such a huge fan of them.
Haha, it's all good man. I know what you mean, how it's all radio friendly and crap, but I'm into that sorta stuff, so I like it quite a bit. How about that other stuff I posted above it?
Yourofl: not my style, but similar bands function on lastfm would probably be your best chance. Somarandomdude: I guess you aren't suprised that I don't like 'em. What you guys might be interested in is James LaBrie's latest solo album, Static Impulse. Can't really link from my phone, but it's a progmetal and melodeath/metalcore mixture. Good stuff.
Dude I never knew he had solo shit. Holy hell it's really good too... is that him doing the harsh vocals?! I didn't know he had it in him really lol. But I can't see that being him... it's just hard to fathom. But thanks for the heads up, it's awesome. The other stuff you posted was allright. The Lair of the Minotaur was pretty sick. Not 100% into it but it's pretty good
Nah, it isn't him. I think it's a guy named Peter Wildoer doing the harsh parts. Glad you like it, I actually think it's better than most new DT stuff.
Hmm, Vovin's vids always cheer me up. Seems like I'm in a progmetal mood lately. Yesterday I listened to Shadow Gallery and Royal Hunt, today it's Threshold.
Yep, two days ago, I dug out two old Running Wild albums and had a good dose of classic pirate metal.
