iMessage, Reminders App, and the beautifully done Notifications Center. Plus I love that they gave the option to have pop-up Notifications, or have Notifications pop-up at the top of the screen. LOVE that. iMessage has pretty much replaced Twitter for me, since most of the friends I play iOS games with and what not, group talk on there. It's super handy for me. Oh and for relaxing music, I highly suggest (And I mean, HIGHLY suggest) Mazzy Star's "So Tonight That I Might See". I had that album when I was in like... 7th grade and LOVED it. Then COMPLETELY forgot about it until I saw a Gears of War 3 commercial with one of their songs in it and I almost shit myself. It was the perfect song for such an awesome trailer, and totally didn't expect it at all. Here's the song from the trailer, as well as some others that are my favourite from that album.
Haha, I don't really care about those. Might update some time, though. :x This is awesome stuff! I actually knew the first song, but had no idea who it was by. It is too attention-demanding for the mood I'm in, I'm looking for music more like this: /Know who this guy is, by the way?/
I would highly suggest it, so that a way I can communicate with you when i am not on TA sometimes. hahahaha sometimes a song will strike in my head and I will be like "Oh gotta tell Balu` about this one!" and then forget the next day (Which I guess represents a neglect to the Reminders App now doesn't it? LOL) but yeah. You should sometime. Will be a glorious day. Heck yeah it's awesome stuff! You heard that song on that episode of House huh? It's funny, one of the only 3 or so episodes of that show I have seen, I saw the episode with that song on it. hahahaha That was a long time ago though. Like one of the first few seasons wasn't it? But anyways, yeah dude get yourself some Mazzy Star. I haven't actually heard a whole lot of their other albums, but now that I am back into the mode of things with their music, I might just get the discography. That was a beautiful song! Ironically, I guessed it was The Flashbulb/Benn Jordan, but I had to check to make sure. Turns out I was right! hahaahahahahahahaha (P.S. CHR15TPUNCH3R Still makes me laugh.)
I find (almost) every song here to be enjoyable and relaxing Btw anyone got time for a good new symphonic power metal? Ancient Bard's Soulless Child sounds amazing in a symphonic way. Love the vocals.
Yeah, sounds good, but the thing is, the reason I've been putting this off is that the external HDD I had my whole iTunes library on died, so it's not that easy. :x Will figure something out. House? Maybe. But then again, I watch a shitload of series, so it might've been any. And you should watch a lot more House, it's awesome. :> Will listen to some more of their music. :x He has a really recognizable style, whatever music he plays, and that's a good thing. Probably my favorite non-rock/metal musician. Yeah, it's an.. interesting name. >.< @gunxsword: Bah, I've already recommended that one to friends, forget about it here. It really is awesome
Does Booch like symphonic? ------------------------------------------- More old skool melodeath I LOVE THE CHORUS!!!
Booch likes some symphonic, sadly not all of it. :x Not bad, I hear a strong thrash influence in this.
Thrash? Ok... I dunno... anything with a melody works for me I guess Anyway, gotta go to school for the last day of this year. I've got a long and exciting holiday (Thursday...) ahead of me!
Burdened by the sorrow of saying farewell, I now (un)officially pronounce this dear patient (thread) dead. Its contribution to people's lives will forever be remembered for days to come, until its previous members find another thread to reside in. ------------------------------------------- Booch!!! How da you find de albums??? SAY SOMETHING! ------------------------------------------- You can expect a decrease in my forum activity during the holidays thanks to the iOS releases and my new MMORPG obsession.
Almost 2 days without posts? I don't think so... It might be due part to the huge volume of iOS releases though Dragon Nest. More like an action orientated RPG where most of the community does not want to socialize and just run dungeons on their own accord. Not very group friendly but it gets more fun when you start making some friends.
There was a time when we went ~2 months without posts, so this is nothing. :> Looks like an interesting game.. I'd try it, but I could really get addicted to stuff like this. :x Know these guys?
... Yeah, it's hard to break addictions especially when the game keeps tempting you with small, 10 minute dungeons with pretty good rewards and a fun combat system... I played for hours straight (ok, less than 3) with a 'friend' I met yesterday. Wow GREAT symphonic song! Don't like the vocals though... will see what I can do with my trust EQ functions to modify (a.k.a kill) the voice. Also, would you recommend me the older Adagio albums? I really love the latest one (not the one that's coming out).
Haha, that's why I only play games that actually end at some point. :x But if you've got plenty of time to kill, MMOs are great. Yeah, their symphonic arrangements are great, maybe not as good as Summoning, though. Their first one (Sanctus Ignis) is my favorite from them, it's got really good neo-classicalish melodies.
Summoning? Who's that!? Must listen to them! I'll try it out . Not sure if I ever heard any neo-classical (ish) music.
You don't know them!? Haha, some melodeath bands have that kind of influence. A fairly good example is CoB because of their guitar/keyboard solos.
Ah... another good band to listen to... amidst my iPhone reaching maximum capacity from a single day of releases...
Before this thread, I had no problems with the capacity of my iPod. Now, it's full pretty much all the time. :x Are you familiar with Eluveitie?
Hm... same problem here. So I see a connection between full capacity devices and this thread No. Should I be?
