Can't disagree with that, that's for sure.

Hell yeah man. Great stuff. In Flames' older stuff has some really good lyrics. Most of their stuff now-a-days is kind of personal but they are good all the same.

Tired as hell today, need some fast and fun music, probably some power metal. Ideas?

I actually do have something for you today! Friend told me about them last night when I asked about some thrashy power metal. I think you will really dig these guys.

    Epic ass songs.

That was good I liked that. Vocals were a little meh but still good none the less. Another good band with meh vocals but great music (I'm more than sure you have heard of them too) but alas:

I actually like Sabaton, the vocals aren't bad, just not the usual power metal stuff.
Anyway, I'm not in a fast mood anymore, listening to Stream of Passion's first album, another Arjen project. : D

Embrace the Storm is the one with Arjen, next one without. I like EtS a lot more.

Yeah that's the one I'm listening to atm. I don't know if I like it. It's ok, just not for me lol. Plus I am really picky with my female vocalists.

And now do you have an opinion? : D

BTW who are the female vocalists you like?

Listened to most of the album and it's still just so-so for me. She's a great singer just... meh I dunno how to explain it. Had to stop listening to the album though cause im about to take off for the day on a technology assessment meeting. I'll give a list of my favourite female vocalists soon (though there are not many) lol

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Yeah... I don't know, but for some reason, female vocals usually just don't do it for me. I've heard a couple that worked pretty well (although I'm sure you guys probably wouldn't like any of it, especially for a metal thread), but it's not all that often.

A band I just discovered on the road a bit ago, for you Melodeath fans in the vein of At The Gates and old In Flames.

@Balu Female Vocalists that stand out for me, I will be forgetting some though this is just off the top of my head.

    Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy)
    Lisa Miskovsky
Tarja Turunen (Nightwish, favourite Female Singer)
    Kate Nash
    Emily Whitehurst (Tsunami Bomb)
Brody Armstrong (Or whatever her name is now, Distillers)
    Simone Simons (Epica)

And while I know I am missing more, that is the jist of my favs. *shrugs*

Wow, except Simone, Tarja and Angela, they are unknown to me. What do you think of Anneke van Giersbergen?

EDIT: off for today, last stuff. Thinking of giving Iced Earth another try. Any especially great songs?

    Don't know of her.

It depends on what style you want but I will give youa list of my favourite songs from Iced Earth that you may enjoy. Especially the first two in the list. Those songs are just... fantastic.

Thanks for the songs... Well, they won't be my favourite, but enjoyable. I definitely think better about them than before.
