Too bad, was worth a shot though. :x

Yup, I have. Pretty disappointed, but there are some great songs on it (Last Ride of the Day especially). :x

    ---vvv VERY EXCITING FIND vvv---
    >>>World Under Blood - Tactical<<<
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Melodeath with melodical clean vocals (!!!) and primarily raspy vocals (kinda like Callenish Circle with more energy and aggression). There's quite a lot of intense drum beats and 'fun' melodies (the kind that get's your head bangin').

Overall, a very good melodeath album :D

Sorry, can't find better versions :(

What is this vocal style?

I.. don't know. :x It's somewhere between a speed metal style and growls, a bit more "growly" than this:

Eh ok... so I guess it's a 'meh' from you?

That song's pretty good. Would've preferred some other type of vocals though (I just don't like that style/tone for some reason...)
    --------------------------------------------
Really digging Adagio's Archangels in Black. What next? Everything before it seems pretty good from the scores... ... ...
*EDIT: New album out this month!? HURRAY!

Ok Booch if you're reading this STOP reading this and download Fighting the Illusions by Solerrain straight away. No delays acceptable.

I have no idea what language the songs are (Google translated didn't help make sense of the words) and I can't understand growled vocals that well, esp when the melody is so ^@!%ing good!!!

Hands down the best melodic death metal album I've ever listened to. Fast tempo, fantastic album art :)confused:), jaw-dropping good melodies, metalcore style riffs, highly skilled and talented musicians, tinging keyboard melodies (<- not sure. It's a very clean sound, dunno what instrument) and what else do you want me to say?

There are some symphonic, electronic, and a mix of black & death vocals (roughly 80/20).

It's the best album I've listened to and you're going to hear it NOW! :D
    (this album is just perfect)

Sorry I haven't been in much, between work and Infinity Blade II, my soul has been pretty much corrupted. lol.

Downloading the album as we speak though. And I would assume given from their geographical foundation, that they are speaking russian or something. No idea though. hahahaah Can't wait to hear it. I will report back soon.

Edit: Judging from the first song, this album is going to be amazing...

I seriously don't know if work or IB2 sounds worse.

    Any stuff for me?

You guys think I'd like that album, by the way?

It's more instrumental focused so vocals take a back seat. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who isn't against death/black vocals.

Anyway Balu, I think I need some albums with clean vocals but retaining a high degree of melody/intensity to stop my head from spinning from the death/black vocals .

    Got any good recommendations?
    -------------------
Sorry I can't bring up many of my new found albums because they have heavy metalcore influences/vocals and I know you guys don't prefer them :p

@gunxsword Dude this album was fantastic. I've listened to it twice now (put it on repeat while I was working outside today). I can't put my finger on which song I like the best, cause the whole album flows together nicely. It's fantastic

And Balu`, I think you would actually like it a lot man! It is great, and vox do take a back seat, but it's not a bad thing at all. A lot guitar wankery found in like... old Bodom, but much nicer production sound. I love it!

What... Work is way worse. The only thing that is bad about IB II is the horrid bugs that plagued the launch, which were taken care of, until the iCloud save bug occurred, and I just disabled iCloud to get rid of it (I really could care f*cking less about iCloud... lol). It's a great game! And even if it were a terrible game, I would still probably chose it than work. hahhaaha

Nothing for you but I will be home all day tomorrow without the child, so I will look into some stuff for you. Anything in particular? I will look for all kinds of stuff though anyways.

    Glad you liked it!

On the topic of repeating songs, I've been near endlessly playing Domina's Beautiful Innocence. It's so damn short and sweet!!!
I believe I asked before but, is their second album Judgement of Tormented Souls worth listening to?

    @Balu & Booch
I like the musical taste of the admin on that site, so most of my finds are based off on the comments/evaluations.

If you need to know, Solerrain's comment was "F***ing sick band" so I got it without a second thought. Turned out to be true :D.

Alright, I'll have to check that album out then. Tomorrow, 'cause it's almost sleeping time for me.

    @Booch:
I feel about IB the way you feel about Minecraft. :X
It's a really tough one, not as much so as the old (but still unfilled) request for Mechanical Poet-like stuff, but it'll be hard. 'cause I need something like Cynic's last two albums, especially Re-Traced. Some light, melodic, jazzy rock with some electronic influences.

    @gunxsword:
That site does have interesting recommendations... I do wish you were a bit more open to more diverse music, becausee then you'd be swamped by recommendations from both Booch and me. :X

Lol, I'm open to all recommendations of extreme metal subgenres and -core bands :D.

Anyway, just throw me something fast with mainly clean vocals (pure or mix, as long as it's the main style). Anything metal sub genre will do.

Did you check into that Solerrain album? I can't stop listening to it. It's so good... I just thought you would dig it because you had mentioned that you can actually tolerate old Bodom to a certain degree, and that's what this stuff reminds me of, only I actually like this stuff more that stuff. Don't know what it is, it's full of guitar wankery, and keyboard theatrics, but in comparison, Bodom comes off more as blatant and pretentious than this stuff from Solerrain. In any event, it's really good and Booch approved.

Ahhhh then no need to explain further, Minecraft is the devil. hahaaha
And I didn't find anything at all, because my net was out in my area yesterday till like (that I noticed) 9pm, and by then I was just ready to end my godforsaken day.

I dunno. I'm pretty much at war with life atm.

I have listened to some of it. It's really interesting stuff, I can even tolerate the vocals. Will have to listen to some more. :x

Minecraft is awesome! Not as much as the brilliant 2D game it inspired, Terraria, but still..
Too bad, any chance you'll search for some now?:Đ

    Sounds bad.. how come?

That's awesome! Yeah fortunately there is more melodic musical work than the vocal aspect of things. It's a really interesting piece of work, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Meh. It's crap. Like I have said everywhere, I get the appeal, I myself just don't have any fun with it whatsoever. hahaah. Never played Terraria, but I doubt I will even look into it if it has anything to do with the style of Minecraft hahaha...

Just bored as shit with life. Nothing exciting ever happens, nothing ever goes on, just the same routine shit day after day, week after week, month after month. And I foresee that being the way my life will be for years until I finally crack and do something radical, just for the shear fun of things to break what is currently my horrid monotonous life.

That doesn't surprise me. Harsh vocals never kept you from enjoying anything. ^^

I said inspired. It has a crafting system that's somewhat similar, and you can build stuff, but other than that, it's an open world platformer, and an amazing one at that. :>

Haha, I guess we're really different people. I hate when something breaks the daily routine, I like doing the same things every day.

Lol... Looks like I'm somewhere in between both of your Minecraft and life discussions :D

I don't hate MC but I don't like it either. I appreciate the amount of freedom and creation it gives to players with imagination but that's one thing I lack in life so, MC is pointless for me :D. I tend to stick with action-focused games (OMG Saints Row the Third is SOOOOO FUN!).
It's fun from time to time to check out videos of interesting stuff built by other ppl, imo.

It's good to have a routine in life but I don't mind having some surprises here or there. I also hate having something the dramatically breaks my routine. But hey, why don't ya create some 'fun' for your life Booch? Doesn't IB2 or music dispel your boredom?

If anything they add to the pleasure of the music ^.^ and Solerrain's aren't bad at all. But they are just not the best part of the music by any stretch.

I guess it wouldn't necessarily hurt to check it out or anything. But yeah I can't guarantee that I will like it ^.^

Don't get me wrong, I like routine stuff. It helps me feel like I am on track or something. Makes my day feel 'neat' I guess. But... I am just at a stage in my life where I want to derail from the norm once in a while I guess.

Games and music often do help out, but there are times when I just go through these "spells" or "cycles" where nothing at all interests me, not even playing the guitar or a fun game. I guess I am just in one of these little sections of my life atm. >.<
